Port Bolted in- Bumpin Tomorrow? Tahoe System Rebuild Vid 27

today i bolted the port in place and decided on the fasteners i will be using for the subs.

yes but only after 4 years of chewing up the box taking subs out and putting them in. I never broke THESE screws, only the ones i put in after the box was all messed up

That's a clean build and good job on the upholstery. I like the stainless screws but maybe you could try some auto door clips next time for that back panel. This will hide any fasteners and make it very clean. I"m a pro tint-er and I buy these in bulk in case my clients panels are loose. good job!

Hey man, I've been watching your videos since the first one and thought I'd give you an idea for the bolts. Try making another trim ring, but like a frame over the bolts. You could set it in place drill holes through it and into the box, then add long christmas tree clips through the frame, then cover it and push the whole frame in place. You would have to counter sink those bolts you already have in place though. I own an upholstery shop and that was just a quick idea after watching the video

Its better this way and no, im not still using the chewed up surface. If you paid attention you would know i "kitty haired" and fixed most of the original surface first. Even if i didnt, the new ring takes care of all of it anyway.

its not a shame, its just fine if not better with these fasteners. Also, the same reason i couldnt use T nuts is the same reason i couldnt do the rings down bottom. Stuff in the way

Just a suggestion, since you've mounted your new rings.. why don't you bondo/resin the inside of the holes (the part where you held that screw against). Can't wait to see this setup bang!

so it can be tuned for a different frequency. ie daily of say 32hz, and 47hz for burping.
