Here we have another PORT CHARLOTTE REVIEW folks, but NOT just any bottle, we have the wonderful SC-O1 (2012), Which was part of the Cask Exploration Series, This one is distilled, matured and bottled at the Bruichladditch distillery on Islay, this time its a 9 year old from a combination of sherry butts, bourbon barrels and sauternes casks.....Is it any good ?..lets find out....

Thanks for all the reviews you do. My bank account may not like you much but I think you are great. Love the Octomore 13.1 so watched some reviews and saw this exploration bottle. Going to pick it up. the Octomore 13.1 is $186 at a mom & pop store and $219 at a chain store while the SC:01 is $149

Port Charlotte is the poor man's Octomore. Every cask exploration I have tried has been beyond fantastic. The 2009 MC01 is my favorite so far. I will be sipping that for the holidays. Cheers mate.

I have an MRC 01 and its really good. One of my favourites. I need to try some more of them, just to £100 price mark holds me back

Who is turning off a sweet peat review? Port Charlotte is rocking it. I just picked this up from the same shop where I found the OLC. Yeah it might have been a few bucks more but these 2 are less than an Octomore. I think Kilchoman has to change up their game a bit. I haven't tried the Loch Gorm yet and this is a no brainer for a few extra pesos.

I had a taste of this over the weekend and it was delicious! A pricey dram at $150US, but worth it if you have that kind of budget. Enjoy!

I tried this before release and immediately pre-ordered 2 bottles. Not quite hitting the notes of the Octomore 10.2 but without doubt a fantastic whisky even for the price( compared to Octomore a bargain) Totally agree it is 90+
