Fun little spot. Pretty sure we saw you over that side on Saturday. Low tide is when I've had best luck with some ok size salmon there but it is only for a very short timeframe.

Garden island have some decent bream under the jetty and st kilda boat ramp and behind the kiosk you get decent size even whiting and salmon trout high tide
@JacobMarsdenFishing4 ай бұрын
@@josephturoczi4759 have caught a small bream or two recently there but I think I need to try the rock crab method perhaps as everyone says that’s how you get the big ones!

@@JacobMarsdenFishing they do take the prawn as well that’s how i get them and i have used the prawn lures they work good but they spoke very easily when you cast and it hits the water near the garden island jetty, i just drop it down slowly and jig it up and down, sometimes you get them and some days you don’t, that’s fishing 🎣

It is hard to catch legal fish landbase you can catch a lot of brim at West Lakes but they're not a legal size to eat. There's a lot of fish down near the new area that they're building houses little townhouses.
