Just to let you know, it's generally a good idea to make all of your brushes in nodraw and only texturing the visible sides.

Thank you! Indeed, this tutorial is helpful! It is worth mentioning that in order to make the clipping tool work, the object (in this example the floor), that has to be clipped has to be selected first (thus reddish tinted), otherwise the clipping tool doesn’t work.

1:56 I had something similar to that happen. The issue with it was that my other monitor wasn't plugged in at the time.

when i apply the func_movelinear to the invisible part it doesn't apply for example i click apply then i click something else then click the part again it isn't the same please help

the white line never appears when i make the cut and I dont see any other indications when I make the cut and im pressing enter or whatever and it still doesnt make the cut or have a line.

Everything has been find up until this and I don't know if it's because hammer was changed or something but it's very upsetting.

Make sure you've selected the brush (with the selection tool, looks like an arrow) beforehand, then click the clipping tool. Drag your mouse over what you want to cut, then click the clipping tool again to adjust what's going to be cut. Red lines mean that this side will vanish once you press Enter. White lines stay in place, but the cut will still be made.

i have a problem when I cut the floor it doesnt become its own face on the X/bird's eye view camera it shows the cut but it isnt its own face
