Unlike a lot of [Sourcegame But Hard] mods this surprisingly gives the impression of more of a Kaizo sort of thing, like it's very deliberately designed to be extremely possible, just sort of insane on first impression. Stuff like the barnacle grabbing the energy ball, the rockets breaking the glass in the levels secretly giving you an easier time actually solving the puzzles, stuff like that. Genuinely sort of interesting to see Actual Thought put into penis torture mod.

A lot of npcs just do weird stuff when they spawn out of a box though, I tried this with a bunch of combine and they all spawned leaning at a random angle except for one. I think with the way the rocket turrets function they would be fine from being at a weird angle though.

In all likelihood the combine spawning at an angle thing is prob a result of how item spawning works. This is only a educated guess but what likely happens is that as the crate breaks, the items are given a random rotation and velocity, to both prevent issues of props potentially getting stuck together and to make it feel more “natural” to the player. Given that you can’t really give physics velocity to npc_combine_s, it nearly rotates them in the same manner as any other item. Note: Manhacks DO react to physical velocity (that’s how they can realistically bounce off surfaces and each other, and are sent flying back when hit with the crowbar)

Having to exploit a glitch to get through the chamber reminds me of when I played Portal: Prelude and they were also expecting you to exploit obscure physics engine bugs to get through. There was some jump you had to make in like the 3rd chamber that required you to crouch as you go through a portal to launch yourself even further.

I beat this mod yesterday a 2nd time , directly after I beat it a day before.That was the most epic experience , you brought me in there.Although it was hard , I didn´t struggle with the Glados fight as much as you did , but it was still hard af.Once you beat the game you feel sooo relieved.It was incredibly fun to play through all the way.However the CBT Chambers going from 8 don´t work and are unsolvable due to bugs.

You got the HEV suit because you need the suit to be able to switch weapons. The hands seen when the suit is first equipped were not textured because the textures for that model are missing from the files of Portal despite most of the original Half Life 2 assets still being there.

I investigated the mod's files: turns out that the developer _intentionally_ set the texture path as invalid so it wouldn't show up via a VMT file, as it's normally included by default with Portal.

If you play the mod, it has you walk through one of the weapon confiscators from hl2 before you do the fight, leaving you with nothing but the portal gun and the gravity gun. It was a very clever way to do it.

@@MeoburN07 Funnily enough, even if you cheat (via either sv_cheats or glitches) and keep your weapons, you'll find out that only explosives work on GLaDOS, with bullets doing nothing. The reason why explosives still knock off cores is almost certainly due to the Rocket Turrets.
