Kepukepu no need to praise JB, they are doing what they have been paid to do. Especially because they have not completed the project and they have track-record of suspending construction and abandoning projects.

Yes there is every need to praise them. They deserve all the praise for doing it well unlike some firms. -

You do have it in for Julius Berger, don't you? You are always speculating about abandoned this, suspended that without proof. I reckon what pains you most is the accolades they are getting right across the board, why, bruv?

@@user-zx9vk4ks6z Yes I do not like them because they playing us for decades and contribute a lot to some of the poor condition of our roads. That is why it annoys me when Nigerians heap accolades on them.

@@proyouservicesltd3652 But so far you have failed to mention those specific roads where they played you, just dwelling on generalities or hearsay. Now, tell your readers those roads you have been talking about. Bruv, as far as this Port Harcourt Road project is concerned, JB is doing ok and they will continue to be praised. I hear that the locals have also been supporting them by taking it in turns to provide them with food and refreshment. I suspect that will annoy you the more.

In truth no contractor abandones any road even the least companies. The reason is very simple, any of such govt contracts legitimately agreed upon are done with due legal procedures and any breach could lead to legal actions, sealing of your companies, freezing of their accounts and even seizing of costly equipments by police or on court orders. Remember the govt owns all these apparatus of prosecution. Therefore, when you see politicians shifting the people's attention to contractors endlessly just know that during the contract award they took more percentage into their pockets that the remaining cannot finish the road. Another reason is that govt do owe them because these contracts are usually paid for in phases and the companies have studied Nig govt as such that they also construct as much as each phase of the payment would carry to avoid loses on their sides. Remember if they sue govt for owing them getting justice might be at old age especially when there is a change of govt. Some contracts are meant to exceed the tenure of a particular individual and another might decide to stop funding a project already started by predecessors for political reasons. If you pay adequately and supervise your contracts which commissioners, SA and even legislators could do be sure nothing like abandonment would ever occur. So you should ask yourself how many of those accused contractors are charged to court for eating the money and abandoning projects? If the govt does so then their nyash will be opened on the quota collected so they resort to noise and deceiving people that it's not their faults but construction companies. And you know contractors wouldn't like to respond because they have to bear the bad names to get more contracts because if they expose one politician, the next would never want to work with them because that's one of the surest ways of getting their share of padded billions. Open your eyes pls

The work started in February 2024, less than 6 months ago. You think this a cake walk or what? This is how less robust companies are hassled, harassed and goaded into doing shoddy, substandard jobs just to please hecklers.
