Now I will say two things. One I know and one is theoretical. Your blow off valve opening is WAY undersized, you really want to revisit that. If your having Issues with boost creep that might be it. Now theoretically if you remove .003 of the exducer lip feed area and Curve it instead of it being a sharp edge you will increase flow to the turbine by 10-15%. On the exhaust housing there is the lip of the scroll where the exhaust meets the turbine. Race guys tell me if you knock off the edge there so its slightly rounded it stops eddy currents that hit the blades as the gas transitions to the turbine.

@@akashmer thanks for checking out the video! So when you say blow off valve opening are you referring to the hole located at the 5 bolt flange on the exhaust housing? If so that would be the wastegate opening for an internally gated turbo my blow off valve is on my charge piping by the throttle body and my wastegate is on my exhaust manifold externally gated no boost creep issues as of now! Thank you for the input tho! Now a question on the second part so I mostly just smoothed out the flow areas and got rid of any casting imperfections are you saying that I should go farther and take off the edge and make it more rounded? Again thanks for checking out the channel and the video! I always appreciate constructive criticism! 🤟🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

@@bought2build YA on crack pipe typing that first part out. On the second part, the internal lip of the exhaust volute. Internally on the turbo housing contour. as the exhaust comes round the scroll and out that lip if you just round a c-hair off.

I got a question: So tappering the outlet of the intake/pressure side slows the velocity, so the idea is that the tapper reduces turbulence (which obviously also decreases velocity) enough that the velocity is actually increased? Please don't take it as criticism, it's a legit question :) Great work and nice guide, everything els than my question, i'm 100% will increase both efficiency and capability 👍👍👍

Na man I like constructive criticism that’s what makes us think and makes us better! So I would think like you said flow up velocity down but… the charge piping is all 2.5” so velocity in my mind was going to go down regardless as soon as it made it out of the outlet so i figured make that transition smoother it may help maintain both a tiny bit better “just my thought no evidence of that” lol what do you think about that? Thanks for the support 🤟🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍👍

@@bought2build I think it's a pretty good idea! I just never really dared touch the pressure side myself. Always done the exhaust side like you tho. So just wrote "port turbo intake" on the priority winter projects, i wanna try it and see. Gonna be using your video as a guide, thanks champ 🤟

Its more about CFM. Velocity or speed is not a big a deal as pressure and volume.

I’ll put a list together check the video description in about 15 20 minutes I completely forgot thanks 🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍 a couple things will depend on the size of your turbo you could use bigger ones on bigger turbos but these will work regardless Thanks for the support 🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍

Sadly I don’t have any type of flow capability to test it that would have been cool and it was a new turbo for a new project. Sorry no hard data would have been cool to see tho! I just went off the simple principle of it has to be better than it was especially the exhaust housing that was a big lip or wall for the exhaust gasses to hit I do have access to the chassis dyno I’ve used in previous videos if someone local had the same identical turbo it would be cool to do some back to back testing 👍🤟🤟🤟
