Last winter, I was on a CB125F. I used both feet down as skiis and just used the smallest amount of throttle. Came off twice still and had to push my bike back home for 2 hours. Worst afternoon of my life. Had to push it up a snowy hill too. Don’t ride in snow if you don’t have to guys.

Thanks for sharing the video. I was expecting to see a rear tire skid when you shifted gear, and I heard a throttle increase. You must had it done very gently, or as I often do is to use only a clutch for very smooth acceleration with steady throttle.

Damage to fairings wasn't very bad, just scratches. Clutch lever and gear shifter were bent, but I still didn't replace them. Me and my bike got messed up much worse a month later, when I ran off a dry road while taking a curve.

I’ve never ridden a motorcycle in the snow, that was a brave move, but i would imagine you need to use higher gears to avoid the torque spinning you out. Good thing about snow & dropping the bike, no gravel to ruin the panels, lucky your gear lever didn’t bend inwards.

@Island7289 жыл бұрын
I have to say this is really a bad idea, you are too native to believe 'dust accumulation' wont turn into snow like this. When you see the snow like this after work, you still didn't hesitate and continue to ride home, you are doomed to crash the moment you decide to take the bike home.

+Kid574 I really didn't expect it to be this bad. When I was a kid I was getting around on a bicycle on both snow and ice and I was getting where ever I had to go. Maybe dirtbike would be better, street motorcycle with it's higher acceleration and weight must be handled differently on snow, but that's for someone else to figure out because I won't try again.
@Kid5749 жыл бұрын
portjanka A sportbike is too "stiff" to handle snow and ice. A dirtbike would indeed be better due to it being softer and with lot less power
