As someone who used to live in a homeless camp at least here in Los Angeles it comes down to the owner who is taking care of the dog(s) because the one's I was around we're taken care of we would bring food back from whereever they served free food ​and what money we would gather up we would buy dog food in bulk to last awhile. We even would take the dogs out for walks along to the dog park to make sure their proeprly socialize 3ven for being street dogs.. These dogs on the other hands had owner(s) who obviously didn' give a rats butt about them sadly amd also the dogs I was around made sure I was safe on those said streets to make sure nothing bad ever happen to me..@@DunkInHerDonut

Not true. I was out for a walk one day and a cat came up behind me and bit me on back of leg. ER visit was expensive. I found out later it had attacked other people and kids. When my dog was a puppy 2 cats ran up to us and attacked and scratched up my dog. Vet visit was needed

WTF? What has happened to Portland? Better roll back those legal drug laws and take control of your city back. Legalizing drugs only works when there is a programs of methadone and rehab. Plus, in Europe where it works, people do not cross borders of nations like people cross borders of states here. People go to Portland because they know that drugs are legal. They want to use. In Europe ALL people that use end up in rehab or methadone. Legal drug laws will never work in the states because we are such a huge country where people can cross borders daily.

BS Many dogs are abandoned or was their pet when they became homeless. Most dogs eat before or more than the owner. Loyalty between the dog and owner is strong. You do have bad owners and good no matter where they live. Quit the o they are bad and housed are good.

🙄 not surprised at the events here and the daughters have the audacity to put up a go go fund me to cover the mothers medical expenses, something isn’t right about this whole situation, first of all if the mother was homeless why didn’t they reach out to places like the homeless empowerment program and move into a house once it was built, why did she continue living in a homeless community and risk an attack from another tenants dogs ? Especially when she has 2 children, sorry to sound negative but she isn’t going to recover and it’s not because I’m being negative or anything like that. It’s because my conscience says so and so does my heart, her injuries are too severe and the likelihood of exiting those hospital doors after such a traumatic event like that is very unlikely to happen and no it can’t happen to just anyone but it can happen to the homeless because nothing is protecting them if a dog or 8 goes on the attack, the homeless aren’t like any of us they don’t have a 6 foot fence surrounding them and a safe place to live in to call home. In fact people I’ve read about online say they hide in the clothing donation Bins because pack of stray dogs chase them while they are on the streets looking for work or food or to get hired for a job or whatever. Smh 🤦 missed opportunities man, she should have shown more determination than usual tried to find a place to live with her kids, now she’s. Fighting for her life and very likely not going to make it and will end up, dog bites are very serious and hard to treat too because the harder you treat it the deeper the infection gets and it can lead to more serious infections that require amputation like cellulitis and sepsis both of which are very fatal and can lead to death In a casket 6 feet below the ground 😞
