Amazing to think that the city of Portland Oregon actually provides a camp for those responsible for all the destruction downtown. Strange but true.

Hopefully the good citizens will rise up and hold foolish politicians accountable. Think of the unfortunate residents that are stuck living there.

The politicians have had 2 years to come up with a solution to this problem , which is more than enough time . On the other hand , 2 years is too long for citizens to put up with this situation . People , hold their feet to the fire and make them accountable !

Yes! And you know what’s the really crazy part to all of this? Ted Wheeler (mayor of Portland) was re-elected even after all his poor performance! You know Portland has to be in desperate times if they can’t find anyone qualified and willing to run against him take on these problems.

I've seen photos of it from the bridge before they put up the plywood to prevent people from recording them. It's kind of scary to know that even though they won that they still have these terrorists stationed here, begging the question what further acts of terrorism do they have planned for them to commit?

Anyone’s guess. But I’m sure it’s not over. We still have the same mayor, same governor and same people who turn a blind eye. Nothing changes until something better becomes necessary.

I lived in Portland as a kid in the early 70s it was a great place to live! fishing, camping, hiking, dirt bikes always something to do for a kid. The Pacific Northwest was beautiful. What a waste!

Agreed. I’ve lived in Oregon for 45 years and I know exactly what you mean. So much has changed here. None of it for the better.

It does seem to be getting worst most everywhere. But my hope is people will rise up and stop this madness. It doesn’t have to be this way. We need accountability in government.

Sort of. I’ve lived in Oregon for 45 years. And for about the first half of my time here it’s been pretty nice. But we went to mail in balloting about 25 years ago and it took an almost instant left turn after that. It was so drastic that a lot of folks here are skeptical of the fairness of our state elections.

I drive a truck, and bring a bicycle with me. Riding around various cities, (I don't do west coast) I notice that the homeless population is growing. Some of them, like in Albuquerque, have nice clothes and tents which seem to be at odds with their financial situation.

Urban camping! No seriously I think that there are some who have mental disorders and of course some with drug addiction but I think that the fastest growth sector in the homeless population are folks who don’t want to be a part of the system. They are clean and well educated and capable but have decided to drop out of a society that they don’t agree with or have anything in common with any more. And I can sort of relate to that. With what’s going on in this country there is more and more to disagree with.

Yes. And that’s the most disturbing metric once you realize that civil society cannot survive without participants. Once enough people drop out and there are too few “providers” it becomes desperate very fast. This exact scenario is playing out in South Africa as we speak.

This is definitely one neighborhood you do not want to be in after dark. Notice how I filmed at a distance? I tried twice to get video of this camp closer but those takes weren’t usable due to AntiFa “guards” screaming obscenities and making anything I said impossible to hear. They own this town and they own the night.

Well I can tell you the camp is home to a large percentage of local AntiFa members. In fact a few of them came and hassled me and screamed obscenities at me the other two times I tried to film this closer to the camp. I know they were AntiFa because they were all in black with the symbols on their backs and they had homemade weapons. They considered themselves the local “security”. So it’s fine if you don’t want to believe me. And I’m not going down there at night because everyone in that neighborhood knows you just don’t do that.

@@MaxHeadspace9mm get a video camera you can mount somewhere with good optical zoom. Like 60x then you can film them from a mile away
