Portland & Western Railroad's 663 train from Vancouver, Washington to Albany, Oregon uses a different route - Union Pacific's Brooklyn Subdivision - between the Portland area and Salem, Oregon. These trackage rights date from Burlington Northern's ownership of the Oregon Electric line and have passed on to P&W who occasionally uses it as operational needs dictate.
