In this video we make our way home on the thrilling N230 road in the search for some great motorcycle roads on our KTM Superduke 1290R and Yamaha MT09, after having an awesome lunch at A Ponte das Tres Entradas Secret Garden which boasts amazing and friendly service, a beautiful river beach and a campsite that we must try a bit of moto camping sometime, especially as the N230 is the best road we've ridden in Portugal so far! We also recommend a couple of other places to stop at on your journey along this thrilling road and that is Praia da Mosca to check out the waterfall river beach there and then another waterfall river beach and restaurant Guarda Rios in Barriosa.

I've ridden in both the N230 and in the N122 (especially the stretch between Pampilhosa da Serra and the Santa Luzia dam) and the latter is still my favourite. However, keep in mind that I was riding a 2006 R1 and the N112 suited my riding "style" better (I liked to put my knee down, as they say 😉) but it might be a bit too twisty for you guys. In any case, the breathtaking landscape alone is reason enough to give it a try. And if you feel adventurous enough, you can always ride all the way to Góis and go to the river beach where the annual Motorbike Meeting takes place. 🙂 7:03 - Lol, what you put inside the tyres to prevent punctures from deflating them is called mousse, not moose, Sam! 😄

We can confirm that we went to pampilhosa da Serra and Santa luzia dam the other day 😎 our verdict will be coming soon 🤔 this was based on your recommendation so thanks for that 😃 I’m not sure we made it to Góis though! We haven’t been to any motorbike meets yet maybe next year 😎 😅 🦌

@@jonnyandsamofficial IMHO the KTM EXC is a great bike. Portugal has a lot of off road paths, and they can be quite fun with a bike such as the EXC. 😁

Hi Jonny and Sam 😃 Great video again! Sam that wasp was looking for a lift 😅 That road looks great! How you would describe the roads in Portugal comparing with the roads here in UK? I know that Portuguese people are always complaining about the roads in Portugal but, after driving here in UK (mainly in Herts) I woyld say that, generally speaking, the roads in Portugal are better than the ones here 😅 When we will have a video showing some off road tracks? 😃 Already waiting for the next video! Hey David 😃 nice to hear from you as always. Thanks so much. Haha he was unsuccessful at his forceful hitch hiking 😅 the N230 road is awesome - highly recommend! We’ve also been exploring some other roads recently too 😃 we’ve found some pretty cool stuff! And some roads that are even “unknown” on google maps. Oh one of the reasons we moved here is because of the roads 😅👌 they are tonnes better than the UK! Absolutely miles above on the Jonny and Sam score board 😅 Really? The Portuguese complain about the roads here? That is surprising. When Jonny gets his off road bike then we will be showing off road 😎 we have done a couple of off road trips with the Ranger but not quite the same as what we’ll be looking for on our bikes 😃 Thanks for watching ☀️ see you next time!
