Hey guys :), nice video. 💚 Some recommendations of spots where I've camped in the Estrela. Great to go for some hikes around or just to visit: -Covão d'Ametade. Gorgeous forested valley under huge rock cliffs, not too far from Torre. 24:43 right on that turn to the left there, you can see it on the sign. I was kinda hoping you'd be turning that way🤞😅, it's really great. -Covão da Ponte Vale do Rossim/Penhas Douradas - Big forest area and lake. Beautiful views over Manteigas and the Zêzere Glacial Valley from Fragão do Corvo. Vale do Rossim has a nice camping park with bungalows and yurts. Also many nice spots to wild camp on the shores of the lake. In the first two spots, one night of wild camping is usually allowed by the Manteigas tourist office, though I like to call them and check first just in case, or otherwise just be discreet. For hiking I also recommend the Rota das Faias (Route of the Beeches) ------ I also want to share with you a blog that might be of interest, "Por Fragas e Pragas". I love it, been following for many years; it's a treasure trove of beautiful locations and hiking routes with accounts and stories of them, in Portugal (and some abroad too).

Escaping the cold and rain from the UK. And ending up in a tent in a cold (wet) Portuguese barn. But, at least you two have a great view, and a big enough garden. Anyway, seriously, you guys are doing great, you took a big step, with moving to Portugal. Sometimes you just have to dive in, and do it. And make things work. You are an inspiration to others.
