Oi, Bea! Tudo bom? Gostei muito esse vídeo! Um hábito que acho mais difícil a me acostumar é não jogar papel higiênico no vaso sanitário. já aconteceu que pegava o papel de volta 🙈 E tenho que falar para outras pessoas - acredite ou não mas os banheiros não têm cheiro ruim, apesar de calor.

For number 4.... the expensive stuff that you mentioned before include things like rock band merchandises, toys, musical instruments, disney merchandises, costumed characters, and of course, electronics like IPhones, Video game consoles(as well as video game stuff in general), and a HD TV mainly because you know.... import taxes, is that correct?(I also wondered is it even possible for Americans to even order stuff from a brazilian online store, and vice versa, provided that they pay according to what the prices say when converted to their official currencies) As for number 5.... because you often eat at lunch in the middle of work... is it common for workers to go to restaurants at the time while at work, do they have a cafeteria in the workplace or do they bring their own food? How do the manager are certain they are at work and are not just you know... skipping work like how kids often say they need to go to the bathroom to skip school(which if you are a teacher, you probably seen this happening before, with students skipping lessons/schools and something like that, though probably not frequently if you are say... not addicted to watching TikTok videos on the phone)?

Most Brazilians pay anything in installments because things are quite pricey here, even products made in Brazil. And somehow, it has become a "cultural habit" to pay in installments. At a store, you will be asked "vai querer parcelar?" It is possible to order products online from the US; however, taxation will be high (there are import taxes and also state-level taxes) - www1.folha.uol.com.br/internacional/en/business/2024/06/brazilian-chamber-approves-tax-for-purchases-up-to-us-50-on-foreign-websites.shtml As for lunch, it is common to go to restaurants, malls, bring food from home (most companies have a small kitchen) or eat at the company's cafeteria (most companies in the industrial district have their own facilities). Most workers have to clock out before lunchtime and clock in when they get back to work. Those hours are controlled by HR.

@@PlainPortuguese Oh, so it’s not just rock band merchandises, toys, musical instruments, disney merchandises, costumed characters, and electronics that are expensive there but even the stuff that is MADE in Brazil is expensive like local groceries, local t-shirts, local clothing, local cosmetics(including soaps and shampoos), local furniture and other house decorations, local costumes, local desserts, food at a restaurant, local theme parks, and stuff like that, which pretty much contradicts what the travelers often say about buying products in Brazil where they most commonly convert Reais into dollars and since that turn out to be a lower number for Americans, that is somehow “Cheap”… but according to you…. Nope… even the locally made stuff is expensive, not just stuff imported from the United States and the UK for example, and why? And what’s with travelers claiming that the product that they find in Brazil is “so cheap”? As for the second answer… so the manager is sure that they aren’t skipping work via requiring their workers to disclosed their schedule to the manager which is controlled by HR, is that correct?

Olá! Na verdade, ano após ano, o número de vegetarianos tem crescido aqui no Brasil, mas ainda somente uma pequena parcela da população é vegetariana, algo como 10% - 12%.

I grew up hearing the phrase "Brazulians are Portuguese speaking Cubans and vice versa" but this is a lot. Growing up you get bullied if you don't take at least a shower daily. People is quite intense about smells and overall cleanness. You definitely can't flush toilet paper in Cuba unless you want to spend a nice evening with a plunger in your hand. We talk trash of our country alllllllllllll the time, the government yes, but everything else too. The second you as a non-Cuban do so, we get mad at you. We eat basically the same thing. The dental health is not as intense for us however. Your pizza game is insane though, I've heard you abuse ketchup. We like deep dough pizza, folded. Also, hanging with Cubans includes a LOT of kisses and hugs, but we Cuban men are just as awkward when it comes to intimacy with other men. We don't respect personal space neither, oh, not at all. And I am officially the only Cuban arriving on time. It's a curse and I suffer. Thank you not only for helping us learn the language but to feel that we will be right at home in Curitiba

For crying out loud would you Brazilians please stop thinking you're so special because you shower every day! Yes, I love Brazilians. You are amazing people, but daily showers do not set you apart. Daily showers are normal in most cultures. You shouldn't think that your European tourists represent the entire world amiga.
