I'm an American who is proficient in Spanish. I knew that Portuguese and Spanish were similar. But I didn't realize how many words are the same, with the same meaning. Or are only pronounced slightly different. Especially because I've heard Portuguese spoken. But I still didn't realize this. I guess its because the accent is different. And many other Portuguese words and pronunciations are different from Spanish. Good video. There isn't a lot of Portuguese content available anywhere. Even online. Especially quality material. I don't find it a difficult language to speak or comprehend. But here in America, and México too, it's not a useful language. Basically nobody speaks it.

it's all flowers and roses when we watching on KZbin basics of any foreign language but in real life, from my experience, it's all irrelevant when you try to talk to a native because you can memorize all these phrases but when a native says anything on his language you won't understand a DAMN word he or she says.. I had this experience when I tried to move to Germany and I was learning German language since I was 7 years of age but couldn't understand a damn word when I tried to talk to a native German...
