Another great video with an account of life in quarantine. I was in contact with my cousins in Italy above the Amalfi Coast. My cousin will go back to work on Wednesday. I think he is getting a bit “stir crazy” with the restrictions. The stone patio looks nice! I love the Italian spirit- singing from the balconies. Glad Skye made it home safely.

I came upon this video despite it was filmed some time ago. I started watching your videos during lockdown, but months after this one and it’s interesting to see what your area went through. The number 13 isn’t bad luck, it is actually a symbolic number for the feminine which has been denounced by the patriarchy. Lots of positive symbolism attached to it actually. Love watching your videos despite the time lapse. Thank you Nicki and Carlo.

Love the spirit of the Italian people! Things are not going so well here in the US either....my son’s school is closed for 3 weeks at least, as well as church. Not sure about my job and if we are still required to be there. We are definitely trying to self quarantine as much as possible, practice social distancing and wash hands and sanitize often. Glad Skye made it home. It’s a scary time but look forward to seeing your life in Positano via videos and still praying this ends soon so we can keep our plans to be there in October! Stay healthy!

What a delight your videos are. I had the pleasure of visiting Positano in May 2019. My son, his partner and I stayed in Maiori at Residence Due Torri and caught the ferries to Amalfi and Positano. Alas we didn't have enough time to explore the higher parts and wondered how on earth people lived clinging onto the side of such steep mountains. I now know a lot more from your videos and am now watching as many as I can from the beginning. I see from one of them that you visited the Bay of Islands in my home country New Zealand. They are beautiful but not really a match for the Amalfi Coast. Maybe our South Island comes close. I am writing this on the eve of my 75th birthday and my month long trip through Europe last year was the first time I had been out of NZ. It is sad that this horrible virus is doing to us all. I hope you and yours are taking all of the precautions that you can and are staying safe. Cheers, Terry

Just found your site and enjoy seeing all of your youtube presentations. My wife and I spent a day in Positano in 2019 so when you are at the waterfront, brings back fond memories. We had lunch at the restorante La Pergola and it shows up in some of your films. We planned to go back last year for a longer stay but covid prevented that from happening. We live in Texas and have a large sea coast but nothing like Positano and Amalfi coast. Keep living the dream.

I have watched many of your videos in the past one and half years and enjoyed them greatly. I have a dream of going to Italy someday, I feel some kind of connection in my heart. I am from Kolkata, India. There was the first lockdown in India yesterday ( 7a.m to 9 p.m. ). We also clapped and cheered from our houses at 5 p.m. yesterday for the healthcare and other staffs who are working day and night. The total lockdown starts today 23rd March at 4 p.m. and it will continue upto 27 th. Let us hope the situation doesn't spread , as we, as a populous nation , are at a higher risk. There are videos of empty Italian roads in our whatsapp msgs, and people sending each other msgs to learn from Italy ( a sad instance of so many deaths ) and be extremely cautious. Keep well, hope we will get over this unfortunate situation. My condolences to the families who have lost their near and dear ones. Once again , I want to appreciate the beautiful videos you make. Yes , there are hardships and imperfections in life but they seem bearable when we share them all, our sorrows and happiness.

Love this, Nicki! Silly question alert: I know you've lived in Italy for a long time now, but I'm curious as to how you dealt with driving on the other side of the road?
@NickiPositano4 жыл бұрын
I actually used to drive in Italy pretty much from when I got my licence. I worked in Rome for a few months and also had driving lessons in Florida, so it wasn't too scary for me! It's just remembering which side of the road I am supposed to be on in which country that is the problem!
