unhinged is the movie that gave me more anxiety than any other, i seen it in the cinema and my brain was trying to make me leave at some points even though i also knew it was so over the top lmao. i never feel that way during movies idk why that one hit me like that.

The courtroom aspects of that film are the worst part; the rest of the movie is great, but Idk if the court room scenes are what she be watched for in The Exorcism or Emily Rose”

@@an_earth_angel depends on the person. If you're someone who likes the court room drama aspect then it adds another layer of enjoyment. Which is something she mentioned enjoying in Devil Made Me Do It.. Thats the great thing about movies. We can all have equally valid opinions and things we like.

My favorite movie I saw in June is hands down A quiet place 2. Usually I'm like you and I don't like jump scares and always see them coming but I don't know what it is about A quiet place movies but I just get so invested in the story and get so stressed for the characters (both in the first part and the second). Now I have to go and rewatch Thirteen, thanks for reminding me of it! :P

That shirt is actually very rare and, depending on the size, can go for a lot of money. I got that shirt from Hot Topic when I was in middle school for like $20 and I still have it but it obviously doesn’t fit now, I wanted to get one to wear now as a grown man and I was lucky enough to track one down and I had to pay $250 for it.

Last night, I watched The Strangers for the first time on Netflix. I watched it alone in my living room at night time, and... my paranoia was very active watching it. I kept turning my head and checking the room with my eyes while watching this. I was THAT scared 😂

I’m glad I’m not the only one that thought Bo Burnams inside wasn’t genius, I was kind of disappointed going in bc of the hype, but it was good and entertaining and had some good commentary! Also, I’m def going to watch Censor tmro night! Thanks for the suggestion 😍

I'd love a review of Caveat (Shudder) and Sator (Prime, I think?). I liked them both. And I agree with you on Conjuring 3 and that James Wan will eventually do an Amityville story. Every subsequent Conjuring movie just has more and more references to that story. Plus they know it would be a big money maker.

i think my favorite movie i watched in june was chef. there's something i really adore about movies that are very low stakes and just about happy and kind people becoming kinder. as for tv shows i think my favorite was invincible. i watched it on a whim thinking it wasn't going to be my thing but it grabbed onto my attention in episode 3 and would not let go. i looved the characters and gore in that show i definitely recommend it if you like the boys.

Some awesome movies in this list that you watched! I personally applaud the direction taken with the Conjuring 3, I'm glad they didn't just go and do another haunted house movie like they have with 75% of the universe haha! Granted it was nowhere near the other 2 Conjuring films, but I did still enjoy it more than half of the Conjuring Universe at least! Not a perfect movie by any means but at least they tried something a little different

I was not mentally prepared for The Amusement Park. I think it's a fascinating take on aging and how we treat the elderly in the US. There were a few scenes that were really hard to watch, particularly the ones where loneliness was the theme. Really sad. :(

Firstly, Flintstones and Borrowers are the shiz, I watched them so many times growing up. I mainly just watched Gundam and rewatched the Conjuring movies along with Devil Made Me Do It lol. It wasn't their strongest, by far, but I still enjoyed it. It was definitely one of the more "loose" on interpretations, if that's the right phrasing.

I would like to request one movie I think you might like if you're into science fiction horror and 80s horror movies. It's called Night of the Comet. It's such a great movie and I like the artistic direction that was done in the movie. Plus, the 2 female leads are so great 😍.

Have you watched Harpers Island. It aired here in the U.K on BBC3 (not sure about U.S.) I bought it when released on dvd and everyone I've introduced to it has been hooked. I think you'll enjoy it. Even although I know the ending I enjoy revisiting Hapers Island and trying to spot things I missed each time.

Main noteworthy three I saw last month were Quiet Place 2 (loved it so much, more than the first), Conjuring 3 (boring film to me idk why, peaked in the beginning), and Midsommar (loved this film so much, feels so trippy)

My favorite movie I have watched in the month of June is "Tourist Trap". Also, I haven't seen "The Ring", but am planning on watching the Japanese original soon. The plot of it honestly freaks me out a bit, but I feel like I need to watch it and the 2001 version eventually.

The movie Awake sounds a lot like the novel Black Moon by Kenneth Calhoun. It's been a while since I read it but I think it was a decent (if super chaotic) book

I highly, highly recommend the book Sleep Over: An Oral History of the Apocalypse. It’s the same premise as “Awake” but came out years ago, written by a new writer. I was so looking forward to “Awake” because I love the premise, but I actually didn’t like the execution of “Awake”. Highly recommend Sleep Over, best book I have ever read and I believe it’s been optioned as a TV show.
