I started accutane to cure my hormonal and cystic acne. Here is my 10 month post-accutane (isotretinoin) update. I talk about some of the side effects that I experienced while being on accutane, some things to consider before going on accutane, and I show you my progress pictures along the way.

I started on 20mg of isotretinoin and finished my course on 40mg of isotretinoin.

I'm on my 5th month of Isotretinoin at 80 mg and my skin is smooth as butter now. I started my treatment in September 2022 at 20mg, October 40mg, November 60mg December 80mg. I have an appointment this month January 12th 2023 to see my dermatologist for my check up to see whether I'm done. Team Accutane.❤

Hey justice power ! Am also on my 5th month of accutane at 20 mg and I don't have any pimple on my face now but there is alot of acne marks and redness on my cheeks. am just lil bit worry about it.... I just hope that they will not be there after completing the course of 6th months :)....can you please tell me that your skin is almost clear don't you have any acne marks or redness on your face?

@@Sanakhan-hs9rvis say to continue giving your skin time to heal. My redness eventually just went away. I didn’t do anything specific to change it. My derm said it would go away with time. 🤍

Hi Ilianna, you look so pretty🥰 When did you stopped the birth control? Was it at the last day (last pill) of Accutane or was it like a week after? I am on my Accutane journey and first time on birth control as well!

Hi 🤍 I got off of accutane mid February and I decided to just finish the month of Februarys birth control (pill version) and didn’t start birth control back up in March.

Taking accutane rn your face doesn’t even look that bad to have taken accutane try having it everywhere like me , but I feel you and glad you got your results you wanted !

@@iliannacecilia I’ve been taking 20mg for about 2.5 months now , it has definitely improved my skin but I do still notice bumps coming just not as bad. All my dr keep telling me to give it time but seeing bumps is discouraging still ! Side effects I have zero knock on wood and don’t wanna up the dose to feel them .. how long did it take until you noticed zero bumps coming up?

I also used Vaseline during Accutane and its the best ♥️ Were you on birth control pills during your accutane journey?

Yes, I was required to be on birth control. I stopped my birth control as soon as I was off of accutane though.
