I agree with you on this because they need a "name" PG to run the offense, help Wemby in action, and not have Sochan run the point anymore. Tre Young, as great a player he is, I wouldn't give up the whole draft for one guy. I'm fine with one of the Kentucky guards at the 4th spot to take. I would take Reed Sheppard, if he's gone then Rob Dillingham. The 8th pick can go either way, I would draft Dalton Knecht to give them depth on the team, be part of the rotation, he reminds me of Brent Barry. These two guys would fit perfect into the Spurs system.

If Zaccharie Risacher is available at 4, the Spurs need to draft him. Ron Holland is a good player, but he lacks the offensive skills to help the Spurs. Nikola Topic is the best point guard in the draft. He is physically banged up, but get him healthy and he will be the guy to rn the Spurs offense. I am not familiar with Pacome Dadiet, but if we get Risachet, we have the start of the French Connection with he, Wemby and Dadiet.

I can see some of this happening. In my opinion though I feel next years draft influences this year. All I'm hearing is that 2025 is going to have a lot of bigs and elite forwards at the top. I feel guards will be in a high priority and if you are a team that wants to tank for one of these elite forwards pick that developmental guard this year and you got some to pick from in this draft. I feel with that thought in mind this is what I would do if I was these lottery teams. 1. Sarr 2. Dillingham 3. Sheppard 4. Risacher 5. Buzelis 6. C. Williams 7. Saloan 8. Castle 9. Clingan 10. Risacher isn't a shot-creator though. He's literally just spot-up shooter offensively, that's it. Doesn't put the ball on the floor and create for himself and others, and he only averaged 10 PPG this season. He also had multiple games this year where he didn't score a single point.. (not kidding). He shot 35% from 3 which is decent, but nothing special. In what world is that a #1 prospect..?

I also think Reed/Topic are going to be more valued for teams that want to win quicker (Rockets/Hornets). That's all Its nothing against him, I just dont see the Spurs draft a tiny thin PG that doesn't defend. They have emphasized positional size so much they wanted Sochan at PG. Most teams just dont need a PG this time around and the Spurs want those french forwards that can enable them to tank another year and develop guys that fit next to Wemby (both french prospects project as good 3&D guys and are close to Wemby)
