Jess, you are so brave and to have survived this ordeal you have received. It would be nice to see a follow up in a few years to see the postmaster's in a much happier life and this ordeal put to rest. Jess looked so fragile, we know you can't shout from the roof tops, but TV appearance is telling the world you and others were innocent. You should all be paid millions each . Good luck and have good life, you all deserve a medal.

Sadly most of us knew that a few postmasters had been wrongly prosecuted but we did not know the scale or the reasons. It was the ITV drama that focused on the problem and I do not know how such a thing could have happened because there must have been so many people who knew about it.

Since the 4 Part Series has only just been released (I binged watched all in one go) and the enormous record braking success of this documentary drama, as soon as 1,000,000+ viewers had seen it and signed the petition.demanding ⚖️ by first removing Paula Vennells CBE, is our PM has jumped in to back this up, government is now ramping up all matters concerning. However, the public has achieved 1 STRIKE OUT because she has agreed to hand it back! £11,000 isn’t the issue. They brought the post office for thier retirement and Children and grandchildren’s inheritance. And had it stolen back by the post office. They lied about her in court. She’s on 30 tablets a day for mental health probably for life. Her brain was fried by the electric shock treatment. She’s a totally different person to who she was before. Her lawyers will be saying she’s due millions and lawyers working for post office and government will be saying that’s too much.

To be fair it was all done by pen and paper so anyone would expect a new fancy expensive computerised system to catch a few crooks out that could of been on the fiddle for years using pen and paper. Before horizon have you ever known a calculator to be wrong? If the post office wasn’t able to be thier own prosecutors then the police would of had to be involved and they would of said no one steals money without a trace of where it went then takes out bank loans and remortgages house to pay it back. But the post office wasn’t interested in where the money went. They wrongly trusted the new calculator. But who wouldn’t before this tv program aired ?

All those who were involved, Fujitsu, the post office and every single person who blamed the poor folk and who have suffered at their hands, should have the tables turned on them, and brought to account, This will not go away not even to Portugal, where the then CEO of Fujitsu now lives his very charmed life The post Office used to be a National institution it's now a National corupt-stitution

Ed Davey does not know what a genuine woman is, do not expect him to know the difference between right and wrong! Or, come to that, what it means to be an honest upright person who has some honor about them. All involved in persecuting those poor post office sub masters, should go to prison and have removed any money or honors they received. I shed tears for those poor people who were treated like criminals, when they were just plainly innocent and that was easy to see. I am ashamed to see how the real criminals are members of the post office management, and of the government at the time this crime took place, they are getting off scotch free!

For those who say, "If you've done nothing wrong you've got nothing to fear ", this is a salutary lesson. It's why we will always need supra-national courts such as the the European Court of Human Rights to protect the citizens from state owned actors (the Post Office, the Police etc) who behave improperly. Had the sub-postmasters tried to protest their innocence by holding go slow marches on the capitals streets, THEY'D have been jailed for that too. That the government is trying to remove the UK from the ECHR should chill every right minded individual not be cheered.

The post office managers need to be held to account. No doubt they'll say theu were just following orders. We are sick of corporations & politicians treating people like they dont matter. Where's the decency & humanity - anyone in a position of authority should be legally bound to speak up so they do not cover up. It's horrendous- where are the values, they just cate about their brand and profits.

Yes, poor poor woman. Clearly broken by what happened. How awful for an honest person to be accused of theft and dragged through the courts 😔

I watched the true life drama about this, and was shocked. I'm 64 and remember it all being in the news etc, at the start. I didn't know the whole story however, not the full extent. This is government isn't it, and it's why Sunak has promised to help them - only since the drama. The Government is rotten to the core. The Post Office is governed by the Government, so it's their fault. How disgusting that it was known, and blatantly obvious, these people were innocent. Yet they were dragged through the mud, and people committed suicide, and died of grief, over the years. That drama is the best I've seen in a long time - particularly since it is all true. I was bullied at the Portsmouth City Council, from 1997 to 2001, and attempted to take my life. My life has been ruined since 2001, and the bully blacklisted me, so I was unable to get another permanent job. Many others were bullied too, in different departments if the Portsmouth Council. So I have more than an understanding about this kind of thing. Only difference, is I'll never be compensated. I hope the post office staff get everything that's owed to them, and that this never happens again.

Dozens of wrongful arrest charges to come against police officers and retired police officers plus all the post office administrators. Surely!

It was the private PO squad wannabees, imbibed with incorrect assumptions of summary arrest, plus what the skivvies were pocketing. Real coppers have yet to get to grips with this matter.

This whole situation makes me sick and I'm glad Jess was brave enough to share her story and add to that feeling of hatred and disgust I have towards all of those involved...They sent in their own Doctors? Whoever made that decision needs to be in front of a judge, as far as I'm concerned that's human degradation, humiliation, bullying...I hope the rest of Jess's and all the SPM's lives are peaceful and they have a fulfilling, fun and happy life from now on.
