Love the way your little brackets/fasteners protect the fire system pipes and nozzles. Great idea. I may need to steal your style.

You are welcome to steal any ideas. I could tell you how long it took to make a bracket but I would be too embarrassed. I'm not a fast worker in my workshop too many distractions like listening to the radio and drinking coffee.

Nice one. I enjoy tinkering around with my cars almost as much as driving them.

You are not wrong but with the sun shining and not being able to race at Silverstone this weekend I do feel some frustration.

Somewhere between a 20 to 1 and a 10 to 1 ratio of 'work' to 'play' sounds about right for a race car. Even the hobby stock circle track cars I raced back in the day seemed to have about that same ratio. The other race math thing that would be interesting to compute is your total cost per lap. It always ends up being a surprisingly high number, but it's also good info to have.

Thanks for the comment. I most definitely won't be adding up the cost per lap, that's a figure I don't think will bring me any joy! The cost of racing is feels high enough without a detailed breakdown and knowing the brutal reality of my hobby. I do get a great amount of joy from time in the workshop preparing the car myself (saving money)!
