Thank you! Body is feeling it today -- not used to efforts like that anymore! -Nathan

Imagine if they sold the shoe with a couple shoe inserts of varying softness, so you can choose your own 'feel'...

That’s such a great informative review and I’m probably where you are at with fitness after a foot stress fracture at the start of the year.

My shoe of the year, close second is the Hoka Cielo X1. Besides the long laces this shoe is 9/10

Rosholt ... that is less than an hour from me. I didn't know about the 10k. I would have loved to race that.

Great review, how does the midsole softness compare to the Endorphin Elite?
@nobushan410012 күн бұрын
I feel On Cloudboom Strike has softer midsole in a good way, it absorb the pressure and then push it back so I can feel the energy returns with each footstrike. Endorphin Elite has more rocker feel then midsole softness in my opinion, but both are great shoes, just in different ways. I ran a 10K race last year with Endorphin Pro 3 (before I bought Elite later last year) and the same 10K race this year with Cloudboom Strike, they are equally good as race day shoes.

Good question -- I only have a few runs in the EE, but I'd say slightly softer but overall similar. -Nate

The foam in the strike is more propulsive and slightly softer. The elites foam is pretty dense but it doesn’t deform and launch you, I find its mostly a dense impact and all rocker in that shoe. Strike is a faster shoe at all paces.

Hoping to, but no current plans with low seeding availability.

Hi Nathan, how would these compare to the Vaporfly 3 for 5K to 10K races? Which do you think is faster?
@DoctorsofRunning11 күн бұрын
I'd say the vaporfly feels like I can really throw down the effort and feel myself putting it into the shoe (and speed coming from the streamlined design and light weight), and the Strike feels like it's got more pop from the foam at my faster paces, but with slightly higher weight. So both fast, but I'd say Vaporfly gets the edge for really pushing the envelope of speed (for me).

ON is like the 2000s Muscletech supplement company of shoes. In a few years, no one will care about their shoes.

Wrong. They're here to stay. So many people and non-runners alike love On shoes. They do really well at marketing.

No it’s a mainstay, OAC teams perform well. A large cohort who have their shoes is already bought into the iterative cycle, I.E. Hoka’s Clifton. The cloudmonster and the like have a large fanbase. Stop comparing to supplements, name another sportswear brand that rose to 2 billion revenue globally that fell into obscurity. Hating is a disease.
