Thats funny, I bought a Revel Tirade ti hardtail frame on sale and before even buying it i had my wheels and tires in mind. I love the Ibis 35mm wide rims and have had great luck with them. I haven't had much luck with most tires except Maxxis....but right now I'm riding Bontrager xr4's with decent experience so far. Maybe I'll try the new Forekaster in Exo+(there is no DH casing). You can get a custom steel frame built from Cutrlo in Winthrop, Washington state for under 2k, his website says like 1600 but not sure how many he builds anymore.

@@50whatnomadtravelnursemtb5 thanks for the info. Revel Ti is really nice! I have heard great things about the XR2,3,and 4’s because they come in 2.8 and 3.0 and that’s pretty cool.

Very cool. Just to let you know canefield is coming out with a new titanum nimble 9 and esker is developing a new full suspension platform with Dave Weagle. Dave developed the DW link.

@@hammertime7740 I would love to see what Canfield does with the Ti Nimble 9 I have rode my friends steel Nimble 9 and it had amazing geo well ahead of their modern hardtails

@hardmtnbiker they teased it on Instagram and the owner confirmed it on singletracks podcast. I kinda feel it's geo is perfect for a SS. One of these days I'm gonna build a SS up. I dig your content!

Stanton has the Sedona. Neuhaus has all those sizes.

@@scottholm7865 If I went Stanton it would be the Ti Sherpa. Seems like the better choice for my ENVE rigid fork and running wider rims with bigger tires like 29x3” on i40 rims. The amazing thing about Neuhaus Hummingbird is all the sizes and the custom selection of steel tubing he uses. It would be slightly heavier than Ti but probably worth it and have a better feel.

They should give you a discount on the Esker if you go that direction.

I have a great relationship with Esker and technically I’m an investor through a crowdfunding platform called “Start Engine” So they do give me a discount and send me pre-sale discounts on some models. I haven’t asked them about a discount on the Ti Hayduke or Japhy but that’s a great idea! Thanks for suggesting it.

@hardmtnbiker There are indeed endless mountains and plateaus in western China, which may even surpass all of Europe, but there is not such a perfect mountain bike atmosphere, just countless.
