Hi Jessie, try this to fix your hip belt pocket. Carefully pinch the top and bottom plate of the zipper pull with a pair of pliers. The gap just needs to be closer together for the zipper to function correctly.

Great video Jess! Very thorough. Can't believe how much stuff you carried 🙌 Out of all I watched this year, you are the one that makes me happiest to see succeed! You are a Gem, much Appreciated, and Thankyou for bringing us along on this great journey.

Again congrats on completing the AT. Thanks for this detailed video. Love the crystal lite container idea for glasses. Your walmart bag use reminded me of when I was a kid. We all wore bread bags over our socks inside our winter boots. It kept our feet warm and dry. The bug net I use is a five foot square. I can drape it over me or set it up like a miniature tent over my head when sleeping. That way it is not on my skin. Good luck in whatever your next adventure is.

Learned a lot about what gear to look into. Had a good laugh about the medium sized Frogg Togg top, but hey it worked out for you. Truly enjoyed all your videos. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to following along on your next trek and future endeavors.

Great video. Loved the duct tape on the scoop. I also use freezer bags for rehydration but reuse a pouch that a freeze dry meal comes in over and over to hold the heat during rehydration.

Thanks Jessie for taking the time to review all the “stuff” you took on your thru hike, very helpful for those of us anticipating a 23’ thru hike attempt. While I watched all of your postings I don’t remember if you talked about vlogging and all that entails. I, and perhaps others, am really interested in how you managed to do this so regularly and to what extent (if at all) this effected your daily hike. Again, super job, really enjoyed following you and your take on things throughout “the walk”. Best wishes for future activities, trekking and otherwise.

Nice video - for rain gear checkout the rain jacket at Costco and a rain skirt off Amazon.

Did you have issues storing your food/hanging your food (tree selection?) or did you find an appropriate and safe method most days?

Hey Honey Bee. I just finished following your hike. Congratulations! I retire from the military next year and am going to attempt a 2024 thru hike. It’s been part of my retirement plan for over a decade. I’m kicking around doing a vlog to raise money for a charity. I really enjoyed the videos and like your daily format. If I decide to vlog my trip I will likely do something similar. What editing software/app did you use? Also, what did you use to make your daily wrap up templates? Finally, any tips regarding what worked well or what you would do differently next time? Thanks in advance if you respond and congrats again on completing such a huge goal!

My last questions was also in regards to documenting your trip (equipment, SD card sizes, etc.). You’ve already provided great advice on your other gear, mental toughness, etc. throughout your videos. Thanks again.

Nice video. Regarding sandals/camp shoes - I recommend you checkout the Zero brand sandals. Lightweight and good for water crossings.

Quick question regarding the Alpaca hoodie - did you wear it as an outer wear item with your pack? If so did it show any wear from your pack being directly against it? Thanks

Great to see ya Jessie, it seems odd to wake up and not have that daily adventure with ya. After I seam seal I like to sprinkle some baby powder all over them to make them less tacky/ sticky. Any tent can leak if the storm is strong enough! Glad to hear about that tape on your toe, lol. Hope to hear more from you about post trail life in general...🙌🐝

Well it's official I am never going to become a long distance hiker / backpacker I just got done seeing outdoor boys latest video on backpacking and he went down his gear list with prices I am not spending 2,200 to live like a bum in the wilderness forget that I have an RV I will walk into the wilderness see all the pretty stuff walk back out and sleep in comfort , on the other hand I've got to admire you and all the other hikers that I've watched it's just fantastic what you put yourself through and how you endured but it's not for me

Aside from the snark, what's the harm in trying? Sure, AT vloggers is a crowded field to be sure and next year another wave will take to the trail with their ideas of things but she's still in the moment, let her enjoy it and pass along her valid thoughts.
