This was a really educational watch. I’ve lived as an immigrant in Canada for four years and from my experience I find it an inclusive and seemingly progressive place. However when it comes to discussions of the past, especially on the topic of treatment towards First Nations cultures, I feel like it’s all quite hushed up...a bit of a dirty secret they would rather we didn’t know about. This video taught me a lot about what isn’t being said. I hope Manuela can delve deeper into the topic! I feel for the Indigenous Canadians...I do also want to say that so many white European children of lower economic status have also gone missing. Look at how all those young mothers were forced into homes, where their babies were taken away from them. They were treated horribly. We also hear about the social system in Britain, and how so many families have been subjected to the corruption within it.
