I love this band, but the modern psych rock is sounding pretty similar lately... I can find references here of Pond, Temples, Jacco Gardner, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Mac DeMarco, Tame Impala, Melody's Echo Chamber, Fuzz, Unknown Mortal Orchestral, etc. Although, what I really like about Post Animal is that you can actually feel the vibe of The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. I think Lonely Jones is one of the best songs of 2016, no joke.
