Another great video. If you're looking for suggestions for future videos, may I suggest the following to complement your screw placement series: Fusion and bone grafting materials and procedures. - What are the different types of cages (PEEK, titanium), adjustable, corpectomy etc. and when are they to be used? Is one cage better than the other for promoting fusion or limiting subsidence? What is the proper way to size the cage, both in planning stages and intra-operatively? - When is an instrumented (with rods) vs STALIF (stand alone) surgery indicated? - Under what conditions can the patient's own morcelized bone be used for a bone graft? When should a biologic like BMP be used? What uses of BMP are contraindicated or off-label? Is it still common practice to take bone from the illiac crest for a fusion?

Great ideas! Thanks for the feedback and insight. I have a list of video topics/FAQs and many of these are on there but I added the rest. You clearly have a much more advanced understanding of spine surgery and decision-making than the average patient. The only one that's a bit dicey is the BMP on-label, off-label one... the labeling is clear but the video would become controversial .Thanks for the input! -SP

@@prasadspineacademy yes, I specifically put the BMP in one for that reason! I've seen just about every spine surgery video on the Seattle Science Foundation YT channel (organized by Jens Chapman). Looking forward to your future videos.
