My dad had a cerebellum stroke. They had no idea what was happening. It was 2005. If smart phones were a big thing, I would have realized it before 911 arrived because it was literally a textbook example. Maybe there could have been less damage. They had no experience with this kind of stroke. They said he had an ear infection!! I was like, " he thinks he's in England and he's never been to England!!" and there was no way he could stand or even sit up. Ultimately they had to relieve the pressure in his skull. They said he probably wouldn't be able to sit up in bed and after a year he was walking the dog (with my mom driving behind). He recovered a lot, a lot better than they predicted. But hardening of the arteries is such a relentless process. The damage just keep going. I got to keep my dad until he was 78 and his stroke happened when he was 71. I will always be grateful.

HINTS is no good if there is no active Nystagmus !!.. Important to remind people. If there is no Nystagmus get an MRI if you are concerned by Gestalt that its a PC stroke.
