46% of Fields' passes were either at the line or behind the line of scrimmage ... Coaching staff is looking out for themselves and nothing more at this point. As usual this organisation are failing the players because they hired ineptitude to lead the team. Drafting a rookie QB into this team if the thought process is to strip it all down again (HC down or GM too?) sets the franchise back into yet another reset. This franchise is doomed.

QB is a mental position and fields is playing go fish out there. One of the most physically talented players in history but it doesn't matter if you dont have the mental side of the game down. Fields makes everyone else look bad, the OL, the coaches. He doesn't recognize blitzes, he doesn't audible out of bad looks, literally never throws with anticipation. He just sucks at commanding the offense, and the only time the offense goes well is when hes physically dominating, which isn't sustainable especially vs good defenses.

But the play calls are horrible….. Getsy was so predictable and when he finally called some vertical shots Fields made the throws….. when he was blitz exactly who was he supposed to get the ball to? Nobody was open or broke their routes…. That’s not on Fields… that’s the play calling…. Now I’m a falcons fan and if the bears don’t want him we will gladly take Fields

However Fields biggest problem always is holding the ball too long regardless, he is a disaster waiting to happen. Fields needs to learn to bench the ball --it is that simple, if there is nothing open in 3seconds bad 5hings are more likely than good. Fields can't get past being bigger and faster than everyone else his whole life, he will never succeed if he doesn't learn.

@@jamescordon8133 well you have to remember where Getsy came from…. And the QB he worked with Aaron Rodgers holds the ball forever when he plays and 95% of his plays are off schedule plays…. So that’s how Getsy is call his plays…. I watched this year for some type of read routes and all I see scramble drills from the WR… now Fields has to play better in certain spots but if the Bears draft another QB his fate will be the same as fields….

@@jarvisbanks2800 I kinda agree about Rogers, difference being Rogers also hit quick completions to the right guy because he could read the field, Fields can't process quickly at all. Getsy deserves plenty criticism for calls as a Bear but there have been many occasions he called a fantastic play and Fields stared at a wr too long without throwing it. I fully expect Flus leads the discussion on tactics; he is ultimately culpable for an entire game of miserable failed screens in this particular game. The only way to make a final assessment on Fields (and keep their jobs) is to have him execute a genuine NFL passing game -- blows my mind the our coaches think hiding under the bed and hoping the monster goes away, is the way to finish this season positively.

This may be the best comedy show on youtube. To be surprised how the game went is hilarious. Every time the Bears face a defense that can apply pressure and does, this is what it looks like. The 0-line has improved but they still have major issues when it comes to pass protection. I agree Getzy called too many reciver screens, especially the first one to the tightend. Other than that the team doesn't have the talent, plain and simple. I'm for keeping the staff, building around this team, not just the qb, the entire team. Hoge is wayyyyyy off when it comes to saying they are poorly coached. Yes they make mistakes, but it's not because of coaching. Team needs...Center, guard, receivers(DJ is the only one worth starting) They have a number one and a bunch of 4's. D-line needs another edge rusher and two tackles. Now Dexter is showing a little something and he's young, but right now the d-line is terrible. LB play has been average, but that starts with help up front. The line, on both sides sets the tone for the entire game.

For the guy that said let Fields throw. Can't sling it all over the field when the protection is crap. Look at any game where the offense has produced. Every time it's been because the pass protection is better. Look at the games Getzy dials up the screens. It's always against teams that are eating up the offensive line. Until both lines play better this is what we'll get. Kirk Herbstreit talked about it yesterday, about how bad the 0-line play is in the NFL. The teams that play well on offense have very good to great 0-line play. The teams that struggle don't. There's only a couple great 0-lines in the league, a handful of good lines and then a bunch of average to below average lines.

What have we learned tonight? Not much we didn't already know I feel. Fields, incredibly talented but clearly flawed, which is the overriding factor though? I think the decision on him will be made more about draft pick placements than actual evaluation on Fields. The coaching team (HC and OC) don't seem good enough, will they stay next year? Again, probably dependent on a few more games and draft placements. All seems quite rudderless and in typical Bears fashion we will probably end up winning a few meaningless games at the end to make our actual draft pick far later than needed. Bear very much down

I'd rather them draft Harrison Jr and trade back with their 2nd first rounder to accumulate extra picks to build this roster... hoping either rookie QB works out over 3-4 more "blue chip" players this team desperately needs would prolong the rebuild.. they need a 3 tech DT, Edge (opposite Sweat), LT (Jones is a good swing T),S (Jackson isn't the same since his extension 💰) C(Patrick/Whitehair ain't it) and CB(if Johnson walks).. also hire an offensive minded coach with experience as an effective play caller, none of this first time coaching BS
