To win it against the Padres made it that more special just because all of the crap they have been talking for the past few weeks now we have to focus on beating them and the NLDS or wherever we play them
@brandocalrissian3294Ай бұрын
The Padres have been talking crap for years and we always shut them up or they screw themselves. Aside from the giants amd Yankees, I hate them most. Go blue!!!!

I don't want to say these kind of things, but the new interpreter is really awful. He always seems to leave out the important details of what Shohei is saying and puts it all into a very dull nutshell. It's not only once or twice, he does it all the time, every question. Like, Shohei was really emphasizing that it was the team effort that enabled them to clinch the division title against the Padres, but the interpreter totally ignored that part. Shohei also said it was a second to none feeling, not just a cliché "awesome". The list goes on.

damn that sucks to hear if true...

Neither the Dodgers or Shohei are complaining. Trying translate on the fly in these types of situations must be very difficult.

As dick of person Ippei is 😂 one thing I appreciated about Ippei was his ability to convey Shohei's message without being lost in translation. Sigh no offense to Will but I hope they look into getting a new translator next season. I believe Will was working in the dodgers org anyways so he just have to go back to what he used to do so not calling for him to get fired or anything 😂

The Dodgers don't know and Shohei obviously is too polite and not that strong in English. The bar is too low. He can get a better interpreter. Surely for the amount he is contributing to the game, it deserves his full voice. He deserves better.

As a jp-eng speaker, I can say the translator is so lazy, he isn’t translating properly what Shohei is saying.

Trout bette make a move before he wastes his best years with a deadweight team, Ohtani got smart and bounced.

I love Shohei but sometimes I feel sorry for him... the dude probably can't even go out and get a burger without being completely mobbed by fans and papparazzi
@jph4852Ай бұрын
Not knocking on Will Ireton but I feel Shohei will have a full-time certified translator next season. For the time being, he's good enough for the sound bites and Shohei is fine with him as a sudden replacement. Will will go back to his regular job with the team next year.

We still be in the playoffs even without him, as proven in the previous 11 yrs, but his presence makes us heavy favorites, but at the same time, our experience can help him get his first potential ring.

LAA, instead, has marked the team's worst 96th loss of the season😱 Shohei made a good decision last year👍
@davidb-bw1hfАй бұрын
It actually wasn't. It's been reported that Shohei wanted to stay because of loyalty. I'm sure a huge part of him also wanted to leave. 6 years he was there and not one good pitcher to go along with Ohtani. But Arte didn't even give an offer/ LOL arte is a complete joke.

That's not good if the interpreter doesn't understand exactly what shohei is trying to say.
LA will always be Kobe’s but im sure Bean himself would tell Sho “Go get it done, take over”
@brandocalrissian3294Ай бұрын
Kobe would probably be his biggest fan and rooting from behind home plate like he did so many times before.
@rumarspencer7302Ай бұрын
Kobe would've been impressed with Shohei. Shohei would've been proud to meet him, there was talk in the past, that Kobe once mentioned that he could see Shohei being a Dodger, and that he's partially the reason he's here.
