Awesome! Postie Bike Adventure Ride release party! Cant believe how fast you got this up! Thanks for posting.
@ggnutsc11 жыл бұрын
Hot Damn!! Adventure is right!! Just taking a trip like this may not be a big deal on any other bike you have, but the novelty of the postie is definitely a contributing factor in this adventure... It is nice how quiet it is when you're on the road, very peaceful... On the other hand, the decreased speed probably isn't a big help with keeping you cool... Well done, can't wait for part 2. Cheers!! Greg

Inspires me to get the old CT90 out of the garage and up to snuff for some adventure riding. No outback in the U.S. though. Guess I'll just stick to the back roads and small town scenery. Thanks for posting all of your videos.
@BikerBits11 жыл бұрын
G'day mate, good onya and you don't need the outback to have fun :-) Cheers... Mark

Loving your videos, mate. I'm sure you're all over it now and I'm the last one that should be giving advice, but lowering the tyre pressure made a huge difference for my confidence in the sand. Hope you do more of these budget bike trips. :-)

G'Day Geordie, thanks mate and yeah I was faster on the boulevard. I've gotten a real fear of the sand and it's holding me back, so I'm trying to overcome it. The only way I know how to overcome it is to keep putting myself in it. I'm determined to conquer that bloody sand. Your right about the momentum, it makes perfect sense... and of course you are right... your a bloody legend in the stuff! :-) Cheers... Mark
@BikerBits11 жыл бұрын
G'Day mate, yeah your right and that's why I keep trying to get better on the sand and also get over my fear of it after coming off twice on my boulevard in sand. Cheers... Mark

Great video again Mark but I do think you were going quicker on your C50 in the sand and ruts! Remember sometimes the throttle and speed/momentum are your friend in the dirt.... Cheers & well done!

Hi again Mark FYI....The guys from the Postie challenge say the biggest killer of bikes is running out of fuel (which superheats it and seizes the motor. They had us always leave the fuel tap on reserve and fuel early on miles.......thought I'd share.
@BikerBits11 жыл бұрын
G'day mate, thanks for the info... never heard of that one! I ran out a lot along the way and would quickly switch to reserve and then stop somewhere convenient to refuel. I suppose I never run out and came to a stop. I'm sure it's one of those "just in case it happens" things you should do. Thanks for the heads up! :-) Cheers... Mark

Throttle through the sand Mark. It takes some getting used too but the postie will make it mate. To be honest the faster you go the more stable the bike will be.

What's a postie?
@BikerBits9 жыл бұрын
A "Postie Bike" is a Honda CT110. In Australia we call them that because they are what the Postman rides to deliver the mail.
