Technically they have no authority over anyone unless they break the law. We the people literally have no rights whatsoever. We're told we do, but as soon as we use them, we get threatened with violence and sometimes thrown in a cage for it. On top of that you then have to spend years in court if you want to sue them for violating your rights. So pretty much for cops, it's perfectly legal to violate rights bc they aren't the ones spending so much time in court and the money isn't coming out of their pockets, plus they have immunity, so really, wtf is stopping them from just trampling anyone's rights??? Nothing is the answer bc we don't have rights.

Edit: Aaaaand I wrote this after he left and before I watched them do the very thing I said they didn’t.

I've noticed in these encounters, they are trying so hard to "resolve" the situation by forcing YOU to do something different, implying that you are the cause of this problem. They need to talk to the people that are getting worried for no reason and calling the police on someone that is doing nothing wrong. They should be in the back explaining to the employees that someone simply holding a camera is not cause for alarm and they should not be calling the police any time they feel uncomfortable.
