Bon Iver live has different iterations of each song almost every time. Different effects, Justin uses different guitar tones, he sings lines in different melodies. Every set is worth listening to. Brilliant.

@@andrewwilson6412 The Portland 2019 show was truly mind bending, as they all are. I love the compartmentalization of the stage elements and the artsits. Also maybe my favorite rendition of Stacks... but I was there live, so I'm biased.

I will see them live in June 2023. After over a decade of clinging to their music at times with everything I had. Truly were there for me in the darkest time. Can not even begin to imagine seeing them live for the first time.

The saxophone in the first chorus of Holocene is so uniquely Bon Iver - just maintaining the same note but with warmth, not sure other artists would be so bold as to play so simply.

@@sammor1773 it's not that - it's more that he uses it as a tool for certain songs. Not to mask from having a shit voice and trying to make it sound like he can sing well. So it's that he uses it properly and executes it well so it's not a matter of liking it or not it makes the tracks unique and what they are which is why he can use it freely without judgement or critique

hey there, I saw Bon Iver two days before this one, my daughter with me and we`ve been crying almost the whole show....so emotional, seems like the whole audience started to cry when they played "Flume" at the Wiesbaden show!!!

The texture that the two drums on this set have is so subtle but adds so much to everything. The drummers aren't trying to prove who plays better between the two of them, it's just so pure. Also, one of the best versions of "Woods" that I have heard!

I missed them because of the pandemic. Postponed twice then cancelled. Finally, announced shows in Australia early next year. I bought tickets to 4 shows over 3 cities. I need to make up for the lost shows.

@@ooslikoo Perhaps minimal is the wrong word. I actually just saw them live a month or two ago - amazing. Better in person, the live videos are still great obviously. Maybe quiet? There are definitely lots of layers, but they are just so restrained I guess. I could be expressing it better. Most bands with a lot of gear have a lot of sound. With these guys they tease you with it.
