Potato casserole with sausage

As many cuisines, as many types of casseroles. We like this version the best. But you can even leave out the sausage if you prefer.
What you need:
2kg of potatoes
6 eggs
1-2 sausages
100g of butter
2dl of heavy cream
oil
salt
