Potato, if you did not know, it has been patched so that cities are able to shoot even though a forest or a hill is in front of them. I think it's because troops in the city stand on top of its walls, which is technically equivalent to standing on top of a hill.

Mohendjo-Daro's suzerian bonus is full housing, yes? Putting in the envoys early would have definitely helped your northern city grow much faster and makes the granary unnecessary. Settling next to the wonder wine with the best city state in the game and overflowing into Petra is definitely the play imo. Walls defend the city and relations with your other neighbors are good. Plus forcing Petra is always fun!

If you made a list of things to do or areas of gameplay to improve upon for those of use struggling with the transition to emperor, what would choose to put on the list? sorry if i'm wrong, but i absolutly can NOT understand some of your decisions. you chop a forest on a wine tile, what brings you 20 production short therm but destroys 1 production per turn for the rest of the game. same with the bananas! thats absolutly stupid! thats no comparison. you should overthink your agenda to chop every single resource you have in your country! chops are useful, if you have another modernization that only can build when you have chopped and gives you more yield after! but just DOWNGRADING a tile for the rest of the game just to get a third of a campus or settler is so stupid... next thing i cant agree with is that ridiculous amount of army you are producing. thats not a defensive army vs cpu, thats an attack army amount! if you dont use those many units to overrun france, its a waste of gold for maintainance. especially with that defensive of terrain you have. your first 2 cities are unattackable, if you have 2 archers. you dont even need those warriors in front of. i would agree your decision in multiplayer, but vs cpu 2 or 3 archers are more than enough!
