Even now while I upload this I kinda regret getting so frustrated at the game, but I'll still upload the video. It's good for you to know that I'm not always happy and positive while playing World of Warships. I also think this is a great look at the downsides of a very expensive ship.

Yeah, you honestly have to aim a bit higher. Aiming waterline gives you tons of torpedo protection hits, demonstrated perfectly in the video. I don't think it SHOULD work that way, but that's the way it works.

@@oedipusdrex It's because the main belt armor is directly behind the torpedo protection. The shells overmatched the 25 mm torpedo protection layer and then bounced and/or shattered on the angled main belt behind it. If the shells landed higher (either bad aim or aim bug lol, impossible to tell) they would have overmatched the 25 mm upper belt and he would have had full pens. If the shells landed on the ship's stern they would have overmatched and may have citadelled the Yodo through the stern. Of course if the Yodo was more broadside (even another 10 degrees or so), aiming waterline would absolutely be better. And I'm sure PQ knows all this, but he was understandably upset with these matches. FWIW, I'm sure the Yodo had a really boring game too. He only had two BB's sitting in spawn to shoot at (both of which overmatch him everywhere), so he couldn't get much damage there. So he went to B to cap it. After he capped it PQ was there so he couldn't go anywhere else. Eventually when the game was won he popped out to try to torp PQ but missed. He angled against PQ and then got annihilated by the St Vincent. I'd be surprised if he got over 120k damage that game, and that's only possible if the St Vincent let some fires burn and he got some damage on the Edgar I didn't see.

i can always tell if i am on the winning or losing teams early on in games based on how many shells hit and what damage they do. it is like RNG flips a coin at the start for your team and the outcome has been pre-decided. just like pro wrestling, the people in charge already know who will win the match because it is in the script.

The desperation, which usually turns into rage, because despite of having a good position, despite having a full broadside ship in front, the RNG laughs at you. And that without talking about the matchmaker, supership addition and CVs and submarines... One of the best videos you have done. Really. Thank you.

The sad reality is that that kind of gameplay is how you keep bad players engaged (and paying), so it will never change, at least not for the better. High levels of RNG increase the skill floor and lower the skill ceiling, which ensures that you can get moments of success even if you consistently make bad decisions. Hearthstone used the same principle, and it ruined that game for me as well.

People underestimate the benefit Georgia's speed boost brings her. Her ability to relocate or push flanks makes it easier to use her guns and secondaries. I would not trade that for more armor.

I mean it's not just speed Georgia gets, you can hybrid build a Georgia seeing as the only thing you lose is a small reload boost to your secondarys to use Arty Plot Room 2 for 11% better dispersion, plus you have more overall guns, and a faster stock reload on your more secondary guns than Yat-Sen can get max on it's fewer guns. Yat-Sen is far closer to a Gneisenau than a Georgia. Though in a lot of ways, even Gneisenau out performs Yat-Sen. That's honestly likely why PQ suffered so much, this isn't a T9 ship, it's T9 guns on a basically T7 hull.

I bought the battleship SUN YAT-SEN I regret the purchase. I do not advise anyone to buy it!!! 1) The battleship's life was reduced by 8000 compared to the Soviet Union. Reduced the waiting time for battleship repairs from 40 seconds to 80 seconds. Which reduced the survival rate of the ship in battle. 2) Made a caliber of 457 mm, increased the rate of fire, and the speed of rotation of the towers. And they put 6 barrels. BUT they reduced the armor penetration by reducing the weight of the projectile from 1,373 kg to 1,000 kg. Damage from 14,500 to 13,000 During the battle 3-4 times shells fall above and below the enemy ship. Damage 1300, 2600 less often 4900. The enemy gives 6-10k damage in response As a result, the battleship is inferior to all 9th-level bonuses, by about 30-35% Such as: Musashi, George, German battleships, John Baru, Ilinoisu. The site administration removes all objective reviews about this battleship. The battleship needs an increase in sigma and or an increase in the weight of the projectile to 1,373 kg, or the velocity of the projectile to 870 m.

Yesterday I played 4 matches, we lost all of them and all were blowouts. The *very well so balanced* matchmaking made sure that we had more than half players who had no idea what to do. No, it's just 7% better horizontal dispersion, but the way the area of an ellipse is calculated means a 17% difference

It's not. It reduces the radius of the ellipse by 7% which is a reduction the area of the ellipse by 17%. However, the odds of your shells landing in the middle of the ellipse rather than near the edge is dependant on sigma so reducing the area by 17% does not mean a better accuracy by 17% either. The odds of shells landing in the outer 17% of the ellipse is much lower so removing that part by tightening the ellipse is a slight gain in accuracy only.

This looks like a difficult ship to play. Either spec into secondaries or spec the main guns with an AA captain. Guess it comes down to if you're playing it in Randoms or competitive... love your vids man, keep it up!

You absolutely shouldn't ever spec this thing into secondaries. The Izumo has better secondaries than this, with more effective DPM and fire starting. I get that people see it has improved secondary dispersion and just assume it's a good secondary ship, but it 100% isn't. It's both lacking in range has much less DPM than Georgia, which isn't at the top of the pack for secondaries anyways.

Sun Yat Sen's not anything too crazy, but if you like Soyuz and want something with 30mm overmatch it's not bad either. Just, you know, don't let yourself be fooled into thinking it's a secondary ship.

Just FYI, ANY ship with defAA consumables does NOT have good AA. The consumable is there as a BAND AID, not as a means to make the ship good. Sun Yat-Sen, is neither a secondary battleship, nor an AA battleship. You want to spec for her main guns (reload can get down to 20 seconds or less) and survivability, like most battleships. WG trying to pretend that she is anything but this is just them being known scam artists.

That frustration when the guns did almost no dmg, i feel that. Had a game yesterday in my Kidd with 20 sec. left on clock and enemy had 10 points advantage when i spotted an ibuki at 1k hp flat broadside. I struggled so hard to hit it because every shell felt short and it felt like i was fighting some aiming adjustment thingy. At the end the ibuki survived 3-4 salvos with 500hp left and we lost. I wanted to punch through my screen, but turned the game of instead and walked off my PC.

Both back & front turret angle slightly better than Georgia (28° vs 30°), not as ridiciluous as Petro front 25°. - Soviet 152mm secondary, reach fast, flat trajectory, a bit easier to hit than Georgia but it has much lower volume. - Georgia 2 & 3.5 km has more dps than Yat Sen 4 km AA w/ Def AA, also more than 2x 5.8 km base dps and 2x flak count.

Usually I lovee the positivity vibe from your videos. They make me want to play. They make me believe that WoWs could be a fun game from time to time. Another 6 gun ship is rough, even if she can be built as a secondary ship, at that tier. I honestly find tier 9 to be the worst tier in the game now with subs, CV's, super ships, super HE spam, and now the hybrid line. You rarely get top tier in 9, and you will suffer as bottom tier in most games. You really need to hope your teammates are capable of doing work and the majority of the carry. Also the aim bugs and weird shot dispersion is killing things. I see it so often from me firing and others.

Why would anyone build Sun Yat Sen as a secondary ship? You only get six guns per side...with longish reload. Also, they are short ranged...max range by sacrificing EVERYTHING is 10km. Build Sun Yat Sen for main battery reload and survivability.

Good old World of Warships, where 18" shells can get 'overpens' on waterline hits on battleships... Pretty sure an 18" shell, passing through a hull at waterline (even if it doesn't detonate) is going to do significant damage to machinery and even cause flooding... But no, 1,500dmg for an overpen, even if it goes through the boilers...

I have an average damage of 45.000 on the battleship Sun Yat-sen On other battleships, 70,000 - 80,000 damage. Other players have the same thing.

I have never experienced the frustration alot of players have faced. I don't bring my emotions to the PC. Maybe I'm just mild manner. But the key is too not get too overly emotionally attached to the game. Have fun! Shoot ships and if you die, just pick another and keep going. Anger and fustrations equal to NO FUN and I can understand it. Just something that never effects me or my game time.

I honestly can't get behind a secondary build on this ship, it just doesn't have the weight of fire to justify it. I mean it has a total of 12 152mm guns, and given the placements of the guns only really 4 are going to be realistically firing at a target. Added to that this ship is kind of slow, 28 knots for a T9 secondary boat puts it even slower than Iwami with a lower over all DPM, plus Iwami at least also gets torpedoes for helping in a close range brawl and they both have the same range. Paired with Iwami actually having the default accuracy to not really mind giving up the main gun dispersion and reload buffs, while Sun Yat-Sen has a kind of rough 1.9 sigma for ignoring the main gun dispersion mod as you have just above German accuracy on only 6 guns. None of this is really helped by secondary's being fairly meh to begin with, makes playing a ship that is rather under-gunned rather annoying. I personally can't even get behind Georgia or really any of the American "secondary" ships actually being used as secondary builds. Hybrid builds sure, you have nothing else really worth taking in slot 3, you may as well take the 20% range and dispersion boost, but the 127mm guns are near worthless, and even the 152mm guns on Sun Yat-Sen are nearly worthless without that 32mm HE pen threshold being met. Otherwise it's only useful at dealing damage to DD and Cruisers. 9:56 it's 7% of a radius, so a total of 14% better dispersion over all. As it's 7% from the vertical and horizontal. That's literally why everyone was losing their shit over Dead-Eye, it was a 10% radius. 14:06 It sucks playing secondary battleships with 6 guns, and even more so playing a secondary battleship with 6 main guns and only 6 secondary's. GK does fine due to volume of fire from both main and secondary guns, but you can't be impatient, you can't rush. Even FDG would be better to play compared to Yan-Sen as a secondary ship. The extra range lets you take up better safe-ish supporting positions while still getting your secondary's to fire. For some context for how much not having that range hurts, you have only 1km more secondary range than a Gneisenau, with the same main gun count, same main gun reload, and Gneisenau has better secondary's. As it gets roughly 12 guns firing at any given target, where you only get 6, and it's guns fire faster and pen 32mm natively. Only to really add salt to the wound, Gniesenau is faster than you, has basically the same concealment as you, has only 20k less AP DPM than you, has a better turning circle, has better rudder shift. The only 3 ways Yat-Sen are really better than a Gniesnau is HP, AA and overmatch. So secondary battleships can work, but only when the ship isn't effectively 2 tiers to high but with big fancy 457mm guns.

I read the reviews. Compared his damage on the battleship Sun Yat-sen. I have more damage on any level 9 cruiser than on the Sun Yat-sen battleship. I have 40% more damage on any battleship than on Sun Yat-sen. I bought the most expensive battleship to fight on equal terms with Musashi, Georgia, Pommern, Jean Bart, Illinois. And I was deceived...

Though you're right that Defensive Anti-Air Fire is great on a secondary battleship, this is hardly one. The secondaries don't have enough damage output and they don't have range either. They would need to reduce secondary reload by 30% to make it decent and it would still struggle to get in its shorter secondary range.

you are right about this game anymore, every patch is just a new failure for the player base. it's all about buying prem ships and also for all the random bundles. until players start closing their wallets it will never change.

Georgia still looks better with its highly accurate main guns and high speed with booster. I feel like they weigh more heavily in the current meta, like the Conq in game one showed being tanky isnt any guarentee for surviving. (Also the Georgia is decently survivable itself)

i think 3.8 seconds for 2ndary reload is slow....GK, monty, mass, Georgia probably highest i go for 2ndary at 3.4 seconds
