Potsie sang every song on that show like a lounge singer.Remember when he had to sing some lines of Monster Mash? It sounded like Steve Lawrence or Tony Bennett.Ralph and Richie sang it correctly.

Anson Williams was a good looking guy who could sing, with a showcase of the number one show for so many years, and yet he seemed to disappear after the show was over. Fame is a cruel mistress.

I remember being little and shopping with my parents at the grocery store and seeing headlines on the National Enquirer and Star magazine claiming, "Elvis says Anson Williams is like the son he never had," or something to that extent. As a little kid who loved Elvis, those headlines really ticked me off. But, I guess that just shows how popular Anson Williams was back in the day.

Yeah, and it suppose to be the 1950s. But judging by the song, they are around the mix 1960s. But everyone and their mother are dressed as if it were the 1970s. By then it was a weird mesh of all the decades.

Yes happy days was originally set in the 50s. Yet because it was released around the cultural revolution of the 70s, you could clearly see it in the clothes and haircuts that they veered towards 70s vibe as show progressed.

I think the series progressed year by year if I'm not mistaken. First season was 1956 and by the end of the series in was 1965 as the show ran from 1974/75 to 1983/84. Although, yes, after the first 3 or 4 seasons the hair styles and lots of wardrobes weren't correct for the era the show portrayed...

The character BAG ZOMBROSKI played by Neil J Schwartz on Happy Days from seasons one - Four is very similar to the character Wally Plumstead played by Skip Young on The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. Bag and Wally were BOTH PRACTICAL JOKERS on Happy Days and Ozzie and Harriet Bag Zombroski liked to play practical jokes on Richie Potsie and Ralph and Wally Plumstead liked to play practical jokes on Rick and David Nelson. BAG played the drums in Richie's band on seasons one and two And Bag was a member of a Club called the Demons.

Remember the episode where Richie finds out he was adopted, we find out he was locked in a cage as a red headed beaten stepchild, and the stepfather bought the chains and locks from cunninghams hardware, and mr Cunnigham figures somethings up and follows the guy home and to his horror finds a skin and bones, laying in his own feces, repeating children should be seen and not heard over, and over Richie... anyone?

I couldn't agree more, and they should've killed off Ashley's ex-husband instead of saying he returned to patch things up. Linda Purl was a ratings getter, and the show may have lasted longer if they would've renewed her contract.

That was the beauty of 70’s and 80’s tv. As someone who grew up in that time it used to bother me when shows and movies became so realistic. Then when people look back at older shows and movies they critique so much. I also hated things having to be so accurate. It’s Hollywood people!!!
