Let's make a square plate with legs by hand!
By making it with legs, it will be a very easy-to-use and good-looking plate!
We aim for an original finish by using various types of feldspar, pine ash, and glaze.
If you understand the meaning of each decoration, you can enjoy various expressions of the plate.
The glaze is finished in a "Korean Karatsu" style using black glaze and straw ash glaze.
If you are interested in the work after watching the video of our workshop ...
You can purchase it at the "Instrumental Music Online Shop".

タタラで、生地に長石ランダムにつけて、渦巻きの模様が正方形のお皿にマッチしてますね。 裏の四つ脚がお皿とマッチして、各釉薬のコントラストが魯山人的で素敵です。 粘土やデザイン、釉薬の使い方でこんなに、楽しめるんだと思いました。

such a good teacher.! Thank you thank you thankyou. Japanese pottery is world first class and you teach us..aesthetically and texchnically. What more could we ask for? One question - what are the ingredients for white straw ash glaze? Here in New Zealand I have flax ash...but what else do I put into the glaze?

Thank you for your comment. Thank you for watching my video. Straw ash glaze is a mixture of straw ash, wood ash and feldspar. It's interesting because the expression changes when you change the combination.

松灰ですが普通の灰では似たようにはなりませんか? あと、窯を持っている方がいて松で焼くそうです。その灰でもだめでしょうか?
