Nice video. Pouring Babbitt is such a lost art, but I don't see why. It seems fairly simple as long as you pay attention to what you're doing.

That old dude in Worlds Fastest Indian poured all of his own junk…. On another but similar path I saw this guy recently welding up the outside of his old HD Evolution engine to make it water cooled. Built the jackets out of the air cooling fins by covering with sheet metal… neato! I like this BTW…

Burt Munroe was also making his own pistons, what was his recipe 2 Holden and one Ford and then screw pressure to set them. It's fun making metal molten and then to shape. I'm making some jacks at my local foundry and wish they would let me use their equipment so I could do it myself.

Them Krazy Kiwis and their lack of resources, they don't need no Jegs or Summit! Kinda cool what you can do in your garage and what you can make with your own two hands.

They say they're resourceful since they live on an island, I think it's got a lot to do with being cheap pricks..............

I have a 47 Chevy 216 that I'm dealing with as well. May have to do the same thing. You can check out my build over at my buddies You Tube channel SWRNC. Check it out.
