Pouring Concrete Footers - Couple Builds Dream Home

In this episode of our Couple Builds Dream Home series we are poring our concrete footers. We have two continuous number four rebar going around the perimeter of the footer. We also have number four vertical rebar every 4 feet. The concrete truck came right on time and we were able to pour our concrete footers in no time. The footer is placed below the frost line which in our location is 24 inches below grade. We want to thank Mike and Liz from laid-back living for coming to help with the pour. Marty ,stem wall going to be poured or cinder block ? If poured grab a few 2x6s and scrap plywood couple saw horses make a trough extension instead of using wheelbarrow. I did the same thing you did . Now I'm older got wee bit a sense. work smarter not harder

That was a fun live watching all that go down. FYI - In case nobody has told you yet, but I am certain after one winter you already know, moose are extremely aggressive animals that can and will kill humans. The hardest times with them are the rut and when they are with a live child. Ordinarily you won't see a moose come that close in to the house except during rut and winter and they want the grass under the eves. Just wanted to be sure to let you know just in case.
