Beautiful! Perfect timing. I got after it today on a 4" thick 3'x16' sidewalk in front of our screened patio. 32 qty, 60 pounders and a Ryobi mixer. Let me tell you, 3 years of watching you made it possible. I'm always surprised by the amount of strength it takes to screed, float and trowel. I thought I had strong hands and wrists.... ha, it about killed me. Thank God my wife is a bad ass and split the work with me today. Mixing your own is just work, redi-mix is definitely the way, but the short fees make that 3 bag mixer look like gold.

I always hand mix under 1.5 yds. It's tough work, the younger you are the better. Just pro sports.

How do you determine where to cut your expansion joints ? Is there a specific way to determine where to or when to cut? Perhaps it is it based on your personal experience or is there a preference? Do really big jobs require a computer layout ? Thank you Mr. Odell for a well laid out job and a great video!
@OdellCompleteConcrete5 ай бұрын
I like to lay out between 7 and 10' sections. Cuts should go in no later then 24 hours. In hot weather cuts usually go in within 6 to 13 hours
