Harry Kuheim you know what’s funny is I went to your page to find some videos on how to do it the “right” way and couldn’t find not one video covering all the criteria you addressed. So until such a time that you can provide all of us some footage of all your master craftsmanship your argument is invalid. I also did not recall anywhere in the video where Andrew was asking for a critique or for your opinion. That must be why he has 400,000 subscribers and you have how many?

Timber is more your thing from your comment and maybe you have something of a grudge against steel and concrete? Agreed, condensation and rust will be an issue and sure, it's not to everyone's taste but I don't think you should accuse Andrew of being a "rich kid", he's a grafter who gets stuck-in to whatever he sets his mind to. NeXesI I do site Safety and Med on construction sites in my area. The mushroom caps are used in situations where there is no danger of falling on them. Where there is a danger of falling on the rebar, a 'Y' shaped yoke is put over the end of the re bar and a 2x4 set on top of it plus adjacent yokes. The mushroom cabs won't prevent someone from being impaled from height.

Concrete has a 90min shelf life . From the time of making it to pouring it . U can't play around , get in down and screeded off then float it off then mag it or broom it . And if u did not see the end of the pour was setting up to fast ( he was stepping on the Crete to finish it and trying to bring cream up to the top . He almost lost the end but pulled threw . Iv been there , it sucks . This summer in fact . I'm not a fan of bonded concrete no more. And have used them for 25 years now.😔

Professionals won’t risk pouring short handed. The cost of the extra help is far less losing a pour. Jackhammering concrete out is very expensive. Always have extra help. Adding water on top of a finish is highly frowned on, and will cause the top to spall off in the future.

@@LAKESIDEBOB1 He's just like any other guy working in construction. Why are so many people saying that are there really that many lazy people in this world? I mean look around how do you think all the buildings and houses got built.

nice job Andrew. a couple of tips, leave your bracing for 2-3wks due to the cold weather and the time its gonna take the concrete to gain strength and maybe leave the bottom doorjamb high if its going to be exposed to the weather. might be easier to get the door to seal and keep moisture, wind blown dirt, etc out. I do have 25yr in the trades and ive done jobs like your doing and that were a couple of the issues the builder ran across. always enjoy your vids and great to see someone working towards a bigger goal in life other than the high score on a video game. keep it up, Andrew. always appreciate hard work. I can watch it all day long. lol!!! happy new year!!

Paul Sullivan: You're right. It's in one of the vids. Maybe he doesn't want Pops to feel lonely. Nothing wrong with that. Possibly he's set up to do his editing at home. Could be a lot of things. I like that Andrew holds his cards close to the chest and is Minimalist about handling out personal information. Better to be the mystery man and keep everyone on their toes, guessing.

Cement poisoning is no bueno, especially on paws. I had a boxer that wondered onto fresh concrete 16" deep. Between getting it refinished ricky-tick and getting half of his body clean of concrete, it was a fun day.

Ground Pounder yea it’s not good for any skin. It would take 15 seconds or less for him to walk across and Andrew would wipe his paws off. Only bad if it it’s on there for a minute. Have put my dogs feet in concrete many times, 0 issue

Just finished binge watching every AC video and I am going through withdrawal. So sad. So I just ordered T-Shirts from Ebay. The best channel on KZbin. Andrew, you need to make up some Levi T-shirts! After all, he is a guest stars in almost every video and he is such a trooper! Maybe in preparation for his 14th Birthday. Seriously Andrew, you are so clever and inspiring. Thank you! The little lessons you have taught me.... like if you can’t find something you know you have, start cleaning. You’ll probably find what you were looking for and your shop will be clean. I am not sure how you developed your sixth sense for knowing what the best camera position should be, but... it really works for us. Great stuff!

I was thinking through the whole time you were pouring that you need at least another person there, that was too much work for one man and concrete starts to heat up faster than people think. You got it done that's all that matters, very stressful pouring concrete, you either have too many bodies or not enough I find, It's always better to have more help than not enough, stress levels rise because it's a time sensitive job.
