Hey Julie! What I do with floaties (leaves, tarantula molts,butterflies etc) is pour my thin base coat, let dry then hot glue the piece onto the base. They won’t move at all and makes it so much easier!

When my daughter was 4, I painted her bedroom walls a periwinkle blue and stamped white with shimmer butterflies all over the room. Of course having all those butterflies there would keep her safe from anything scary. Then we’d spray special fairy water from a butterfly decorated spray bottle to give it extra butterfly power when it was dark . You brought all that back! Thank you ❣️She’s 24 now and she loves that we did that 🦋🦋🦋🦋

OMG they need a LOVE button not just a like... The blue butterflies are of particular importance to me and my close family, we believe they are our passed family members coming to visit us. I also feel they are incredibly beautiful. I bought some little felt froggies from a $2 shop the other day and am hoping to try this embedding technique you have shown to make a little pond with frog coasters... Thankyou for your wonderful ideas, I am experimenting with mixing pour painting techniques and my thicker resin at present. I tried a layered cup resin pour with my thicker resin (U resin standard UV) and it worked...

I have those butterflies in all colors through Amazon. They worked out well in my decorating scheme both with the sticky tabs and magnets. They are high quality and I am pleased with them. They should be beautiful in your coasters.

I have this type of butterfly on my calf, in a bubble. I used to work with resin-loved it. Did you already know that alcohol cleans resin right up? You provably do, I discovered it by accident!

I have walked out of my art room a little fed up because I want to do all this awesome stuff with resin but I have a tremor and myoclonic jerks which make working so much with having steady controlled hands extremely hard at times. I have this beautiful butterflies . they also come in other colours (pinks and purples) the small ones i used and made into key chains. I took the magnets off mine. Personally I think the blue butterflies are the nicest .

Those are so pretty, May i suggest painting on the mica powder directly into your mould with a small artists paintbrush just around the edges that way you will have more of the sparkle in the center under the butterflies. I have been brushing on the edges of mine and it sticks to the resin when you take out the finished coasters that Mermaid Blue green is my favourite colour and use a rose gold paint pen around the outer edge it will look stunning. Let me know how they turn out.
