i agree, unfortunately i know there’s families out there who are struggling, while the mom is at home taking care of the kids and making dinner for her husband when he get home, and the father is killing himself trying to provide for his families, probably working more than one 9-5 job or construction. and i know what people are gonna say to me, “yea but you shouldn’t have children if you’re not financially ready” and i know that but that doesn’t change the fact that they’re still out there and struggling and it actually doesn’t always star out that way, the father could’ve been earning/making well for his family but eventually they could’ve hit a rough patch where he needs to work all day.😕

Also, there should be an awareness among couples that whatever the kind of marriage, modern or traditional, the father should make an effort to take care of the baby, because it’s not just the mom’s responsibility, whether that means coming home and taking care of the baby so the mom can finally rest in traditional families, or taking care of the baby as much as the mom in case both are working

My advice to anyone ever is WAIT. You are only young once, and 21 is still just a kid in many ways. Just because legally you are an adult doesn't mean you think like one. I grew up with my first, and now she's 18 and moving into adulthood herself! I would NEVER change my path, but I would advise younger ppl today to wait and live life a little first before dedicating yourself to literally the most difficult thing you will ever do.❤

I had my first (and only, husband got snipped after I gave birth) at 35 and I am so glad I was the age I was. There was so much I needed to go through and now I’m actually in a position to be the kind of mom I wanted to be. You’ll never be perfect or a perfect mom but 21 is a lot different than 31. If you’re a great mom at 21 these days, bravo, but that certainly isn’t the norm. Millennials and older gen z deal with an extended adolescence a lot of the time, that and medical advances means having a child in your 30s is way more the norm.

I'm from Germany and everyone with higher education has children in their 30s. Having children in your 20s is kinda frowned upon and seen as a marker of low educational level. Women can also *easily* have children until 42/43 without it really being considered high risk.
@bethanynorman182910 ай бұрын
Yes, but you are one of the lucky ones. It's important to point out that female fertility peaks at 25. Waiting until you're well into your 30s for your first baby is horrible advice to give women. It will be significantly harder to get and stay pregnant at 35, for most of us. I am speaking from experience, and per the exact information I was given by multiple fertility doctors.
@djkb12510 ай бұрын
@@bethanynorman1829 that’s true but a lot of those women likely had fertility issues already. I definitely did (PCOS, 3 periods a year, fairly normal as fertility issues go though). Getting and staying pregnant certainly was good fortune for me but for many women with no fertility issues, 35 isn’t too old with our modern technology. Basically it’s complicated but I don’t think it’s fair to say that having a baby in your 30s is too old in 2024.

I live in a country where people under the age of 18 can get married with (it makes me gag even thinking about it) someone over the age of 18. Her husband was allegedly in his late 30s when she got engaged to him when she was in middle school. She lied about her husband’s age when she was engaged. She was 19 when she had her first baby, and now that’s she’s 22, she looks like she’s aged 20 years. She was such a talented, sweet girl, but that poor excuse of a man groomed her and forced her to drop out of high school and get married to him. Sorry if it was dark and depressing but I just wanted to mention that those young moms usually don’t speak up about their struggles.

The father and I were never together, so I planned and prepared everything to work without him. We're good friends now and will bring up the little one in charging intervals. Boys suck at being young fathers for the most part now days. Their maturity level is just awful at that age. It always falls on the young mother to sacrifice everything and this is the biggest thing that young moms need to be aware of. If you really do want to be a young mom, marry an older guy who has his ish together or just wait until you are 30+. I couldn't imaginengoing through postpartum with a do nothing husband around.
