The rain cleared just in time to capture the last half hour of my closing shift today. Working at Lumberjack which never fails to provide some of the kindest people I've met in London.
I hope you enjoy and I hope you're well and truly ready for Autumn and the beginning of spooky season!

I think I might need to make a trip to London just to see Connor. He seems to be the most chill and down to earth barista I've seen in a while. Kind and hospitable baristas or any type of worker for that matter are definitely more easy to get along with. I find it very interesting and cool that you travel around the area and work at many different cafes, not just sticking to one. It makes the channel a lot more interesting. And it's also a great way to see where some neat places are to go if I end up in England some day. Keep up your amazing work Connor.

Fantastic video! The way you interact with customers, communicate with them and make them feel welcome is exemplary, sir. I wonder, anyone know if Connor asks permission to film this, or is this sort of recording allowed whilst on shift?

Do you think the coffee has a different taste depending on what you drink the coffee out off? I prefer coffee in a ceramic cup rather than a paper cup. I dislike when cafes give you a paper cup to drink your coffee when sitting inside. 🤔🤔
@ConnorDoesCoffee
@ConnorDoesCoffee Жыл бұрын
I prefer a ceramic mug. I'm not sure if it makes a difference though
@widdy5348
@widdy5348 Жыл бұрын
The only reason that most places will give you a paper cup for a sit-in order is if they have technical difficulties or if you arrive within 10-15 minutes of the close. Closing staff get a lot of grief from the opening team when dishes from the previous day are left unwashed, and that's usually caused by customers insisting on ceramic cups, and then sipping their tepid coffee until the very last minute, which can be extremely frustrating when you're trying to get the place cleared up in time. Also, when it's particularly busy, supplying take-away cups to everyone is a lot less hassle than trying to keep up with dishwashing, especially when understaffed. This is also a lot easier than taking complaints from people who are angry that they got a paper cup when the previous customer got a ceramic. If you got a paper cup, there's a good reason for it.

It all depends on the type of coffee, temperature of the water, your water pressure, the consistency/grind of the coffee... There are a lot of variables to getting the best flavour out of your coffee.
