This is why we put the titans in. Not necessarily to USE them, but because they're free protection from decking out or BEING decked out. The trade off is we get decked after the game.

Fun fact, the amount milled isn't contingent on the amount of damage prevented, just the amount of damage that would be dealt. "Damage cannot be prevented" gives you an unblockable 10/1 for UUU that has the upside of milling your opponents whenever you deal damage 😊

They are both replacement effects for damage. Once the first trigger happens damage would no longer be dealt so the second effect could not happen. The order is based on timestamp based on layers.

That’s exactly who this is getting paired with in my ultimate mill Nekusar deck. The sick part is that you might think you’re getting card advantage with Dictate of Kruphix, Forced Fruition, etc. but with Helm of the Ghastlord on Nekusar, I’m the only one with the advantage.

The fun thing with magic is there is no correct way :) build it how you want and fuck around with the deck until it plays how you like it! So many people get caught up witht the most optimal or "correct" build for something and forget about just having fun with it

Best way to build Mindskinner is in an Umbris deck as one of the 99. Nonstop buffing Umbris while exiling the other decks won me a 6 way free for all in only 10 turns

Is going in the 99 of my Zellix deck. Already a non-deterministic mill-rippling aristocrats deck, Mindskinner just turns every Syr Konrad trigger into a cascade of "each opponent mills 3" til the table gets lucky, everyone else mills out, or I sac Skinner to something with enough triggers still on the stack/horrors entering the field to win anyways. Also, it's a redundancy for Mindcrank paired with Duskmantle Guildmage or Bloodchief Ascension.

I made it as a hybrid persistent petitioner thrumming stone type deck with a voltron strategy. If u run mirror box all those petitioners get big. Without brucac but with mirror box tapping 4 advisors to swing means 16 cards milled by opps rather than 12 cards milled by one opp

If you have the blue non acorn unfinity enchantment "an exchange of words" you can swap rules text on the mindskinner and any opponents creature to force them to not be able to deal proper damage while dealing 10 every turn. Would be even better if one of your opponenets happens to be burn so you turn the burn deck into a mill deck.

What if, you build a deck, that's blue and red, and is based around throwing damage to you're opponents, and you play that to make more of a challenge for yourself, so instead of doing 120 damage to win, you have to do around 300

Mind Skinner makes it so that when you do damage to one opponent it gets turned into Mill against ALL opponents. So burn that hits all your opponents just multiplies it even further.

Has no protection outside of being unblockable, while maybe scary in 1v1, a table of 4 should have no problem removing an x/1. It's mostly scary for the spontaneous chance to just mill out the entire deck instantly due to interactions with things like Konrad.

First off, if you are not doing so degenerate shenanigans with tour mill, you are essentially changing your game plan from reducing their life from 40 to 0, to 99 to 0. This card exemplifies this, hit for 10 and mills 10 cards instead. 40 - 10, or 99 - 10? Which is going to be faster? That being said, use this guy with ALL the "you can't prevent damage" style cards, and you have a 3 mana 10 power Unblockable commander. Give it just +1 power and it's a two swing kill, double strike is one shot.
