Saw your show in Riga, Latvia on May 5th. That unexpected feeling, everything got Dark and Loud, I waited so long to see you all Live. It got me so emotional and it truly was the best day of my life. Thanks for sharing your insights on touring,it removes the romantic illusions one may have about all being fun and vacation like🙃-its hard work and a job with challenges like any other....and I looove your legal understanding,couldn´t stop smiling hearing you talk about maritime law😁- I mean-its like Al Pacino said in the movie Devils advocate - "the law is everywhere" and I find it very helpful to know the options.If you could share some more practical details: when and how are you doing your laundry and bus cleaning etc?on the days off?Service?Is it included in the bus service?😅🤣I know I´m curious.Thanks & may all go smoothly🥰

Absolutely! Extremely hard work for the crew, still work for the band but nowhere near the same. All the work as a band guy happens in rehearsal, gear prep, learning the music, packing, etc. Once you get out there it's just cake and fun. I still spend most of the day practicing, because that's just me, but still that is way easier than working as crew. So much work. Laundry happens however you can! At venues that have it, or hotels, or laundromats haha

Thanks! That was just me Horizon Devices Precision Overdrive. Maybe I kicked too hard because that input jack broke and caused the rig issue a few songs later before my solo haha. It was a very old pedal and my trusty friend, it has been through a lot (I refuse to play any gig without it) so we swapped in a new one, no more issues.

I find it interesting you and Vai are both cabled. I admittedly know nothing about this - I just assumed these days everyone would be using wireless.

Vai seems very paranoid about any latency in the signal chain.

So if someone out there wants to give me a good wireless I will happily ditch the cable... but I don't want to spend the money on it. The cable doesn't really bother me usually, and my amazing tech Scout keeps an eye on it so I don't trip or slip. I'd love a great wireless though!

His paranoia is based in empirical evidence I've seen him gather first hand since last year. I've seen him try $10,000 wireless units that were just insanely noisy or had a little latency or tone loss for him. The guy knows EXACTLY what he wants and when it's not there, it's just not there. I've seen it and heard it first hand! For how he plays, he needs the most immediate connection to the amp.
