I thought the venti cut suited you best too! Really appreciate the format of these reviews - side by side comparisons through excerpts tell us a lot more than scales do, and I find the feedback interesting as so many reviewers keep that part too vague

I just tried all of the four different headjoints and I went with the Venti. I was use to playing with the Forte Headjoint on my Pear flute which is a heavy walled flute. I found the Venti to be the right one for me.

I would agree with your perspective, the venti cut seemed to give you the greatest freedom of and variety of tone. I've also seen another video comparing the cuts and I wonder whether the Philharmonic has been designed so have a bit more resistance, and have to push the sound a bit more, across an orchestra. I could tell the difference between them too, so well done for being able to bring that out (not always obvious) and well done to your sound engineer!

I have a Yamaha 677 with a heavy wall and I just upgraded to the Powell aurumite headjoint lumina cut and it fits really well. A little loose but still plays beautifully

@@hannahsonnenberg438 wow! Awesome!! Did you try the philharmonic cut? My music store has a philharmonic with platinum riser pn 60% off. It's at s different city so zi can't test it. Curious if it's worth it, or save and just get a SS. I could get a philharmonic, venti or soloist. I play jazz, so I want a bright full unique sound kind of like how john coltrane is on the saxophone.

@@georgepalmer7759 I ordered mine from FCNY and they sadly didn’t have any other cuts for me to try. But I highly recommend trying it out, powell has some amazing headjoints
