Love these shape boards. They have attitudes and personalities not like the popsicles where they all look the same. Back in the day you wanted a cab board, a hosoi board, hawk board, etc. and they were all different. Chris Hiett is doing some of the craziest tricks on these shape boards and his skating style is uniquely badass. Reminds me of hosoi in a way.

I agree, you're not stating that you necessarily hate Popsicles but you're saying that these 80s boards have a personality because they're all different. I love modern skating and popsicle boards but whenever I see someone on a true 80s skateboard at a sesh, it just looks rad..with big 60+ wheels rails big risers tail guards etc ...

I rolled on Cabs forever until they did XT, then I had to switch so I skated Natas boards because of the similar shape. Now I am about to be 50 and am thinking about riding again after a 20+ year break. At least there is a skate park here now.

Did you change the angle of the tail? because I had one (with little bats in the background of the design) at the time (80s') and I didn't ride much with it because the tail was too flat for me to make ollies correctly, now the board is exposed on a wall at home and do not regret having bought it like other stuff from Powell Peralta in the 80s and a big thank you from Belgium for your materials, design and legendary riders who made us dream . Sacha.

“technically” the wheels are wrong time frame. The Cab dragon era would have been running Rat Bones or Cross Bones. The Mini Cubes were more of the “pig” era boards. ...... just an observation... 😎👍🏼
@nigeldutru1092 жыл бұрын
Cool board .I had one when it came out but I must say wheels are to early by then rat bones or crossbones if you want a true vintage ride.

I don't think even Cab skated on those stupid Mini Cubics on that board. The board is kind of cool. Not into the wheels. Maybe you could use them for longboard wheels or something. Other than that, they are pretty ridiculous.
