I’m curious how it’s expensive? You’re getting trigger stops, back buttons, and LED’S. For 20$ less than a basic Xbox controller.

I can get an actual wireless Xbox controller for $40-$60
@Shakez1430 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, and it comes without back buttons, you deal with worse latency on the wireless connection, AND you’re getting it for almost 1/3rd the price of the leading pro controllers lol
@RoXolid Жыл бұрын
@@Shakez1430 I don't care about back buttons as I stated. Also the latency the games are designed around the stock controllers so that's accounted for. And these are priced similarly for a wired controller as wireless
@Shakez1430 Жыл бұрын
To each their own, but for those of us, who want the back buttons, this is an amazing value, and the latency is 100% more responsive than even my series 2 elite when connected wirelessly. To be fair, not everyone is as sensitive to input lag as the next. Glad the standard works for you

@@Shakez1430that’s interesting about the Wireless elite controller I never brought one since they are definitely overpriced and break Easy.

Just got one and love it. I'd also argue that it's a bargain too. The micro USB wear-and-tear issue has never affected me, but then I don't constantly pull out the cable, why would I?... it's a wired controller! In terms of functionality, smoothness of play, and precision it's great for the price, feels very solid and well made too. I love that you can change the colour scheme in three different areas of the face plate and that whatever colour use choose for each area they blend into each other seemlessly, and you can seperately change the brightness in each area too. The two extra programmable buttons on the underside are already proving indespensible in some games. I used to basic supermarket bought xbox conrollers, so this make me feel like a pro for the first time without spending stupid money.

Part of the reason I believe this controller is Micro-USB is because this product is actually a couple of years old now, the original Spectra was released before the Series S/X came out, which this Infinity is an updated variant of. PowerA appears to be slowly phasing out the Micro-USB controllers and is beginning to transition over into USB-C controllers now, they have a new lineup called "Advantage" which has the same form factor (minus the volume dial that you mentioned you could do without), multiple colours, and most importantly, *is USB-C.* (It also adds Impulse Triggers, just like an official controller) I expect that the Spectra will likely receive an updated variant with USB-C, considering its a rather popular controller.
@ThunderTHR Жыл бұрын
Wanted to update this comment; PowerA has actually released an update to this controller as I had anticipated, called the "Advantage w/ Lumectra". It *addresses the major complaint you had with the older Spectra controller,* as the new controller is *USB-C* rather than Micro USB. It also adds an extra zone of lighting to make it 4-Zone lighting, and also adds Impulse Triggers similar to the official controllers. There's also no longer a headset volume dial, which I know you mentioned not being a fan of. Might be worth checking out the updated version!

is USB-C faster in regards to input then Micro-USB? I ordered both controllers to try them out. The spectra infinity came out the box with stick drift on the right stick. It fits control freaks for the xbox version and they dont slide around when using. The Advantage feels a tad faster in regards to response time when playing COD MW2. Do you think that is because the USB-C cable? Only downside though with the Advantage controller is the kontrol freaks (xbox version) dont sit tight enough on the joysticks and when Im playing cod they spin around especially with all the moment with my right stick :(

It is as most Micro USB ports are USB 2.0 compared to USB 3.0 for USB-C

PowerA controllers are the worst quality. They are expensive for what they offer. They are not decent at all. It's just not worth it. Their resistance over time is zero, they break down quickly, they have all kinds of problems. I had some that broke down over time without using them.
